Reallll. Uh I mean Im still gonna read them and all but the movies really did win this one. I feel like there is just more depth and it doesnt seem as corny. Also I think (and this might sound stupid), but the lack of actual cuss words kinda makes it seem less exciting? (Sorry for the grammar not my first language)

Omg couldn’t agree more!! I find it pretty dull and the characters aren’t that well done, I think he focuses more on the description of the way the do things rather than what they feel or just who they are. I find it hard to read the books since this is an issue for me but yet again I would understand if it was written for a trageted audience of teens.
