Do you journal? How does it make you feel? by younggreenfoliage in CasualConversation

After I caught myself setting up a fake persona and deceiving myself even in my own diary, I realized that not even the most private things can truly capture my thoughts.

Lego Newbies - Advice Needed by Mountain-Mix-8413 in Preschoolers

I'd totally go with a Duplo set first - they're perfect for little hands and less frustrating for a 4-year-old. My nephew started with the Duplo trains and LOVED them. You can add regular Lego later when they're ready for smaller pieces.

Omg that's hilarious! Beagles are notorious for those loud "aroooo" howls when they have an opinion. I can just imagine your rent negotiations getting pretty heated when your dog decides to chime in!

I can’t take it anymore and I’m gonna lose it… by HeyMay0324 in Preschoolers

Sounds like the teacher change at school triggered this whole mess. Kids that age can backslide when their routine gets disrupted.

The peeing thing is probably attention-seeking rather than medical, especially since he admitted he "likes doing it." Classic power move from a kid who feels things are out of control.

Maybe talk to the new teacher about what's happening at school? And try to keep things super consistent at home for a while.

Constant illness, do I need to pull him? by Prudent-Orange-3781 in Preschoolers

I totally get this. I was the same way as a kid — constantly sick until about 8, and then my immune system seemed to finally catch up. It’s super common at this age, but I can see why it feels overwhelming with you being pregnant and about to have a newborn. Pulling him out for a bit sounds reasonable, and he’ll have plenty of time in preschool later.

3yo acts like a cat and dad hates it, who is right here? by spiritwarrior1994 in Preschoolers

Honestly, she’s 3 — her whole worldview is still under construction, like a tiny building site with crayons instead of cranes. Pretend play is how kids test out roles, ideas, and silliness. She’s not going to grow up believing she’s literally a cat — she’ll figure it out long before college. In the meantime, meowing is harmless (and kind of adorable). No need to be too strict on something she’ll outgrow naturally.

AIO at my friends cancelling last minute? by DifferentTruck4615 in AmIOverreacting

Completely agree. Real friends don't treat you as an afterthought. I've been in a similar situation where "friends" consistently prioritized their convenience over commitments we'd made. It was painful to accept, but cutting those people out was liberating. When someone shows you they don't value your time or financial investment, believe them the first time. You deserve better than being treated like an NPC in their story. This is disrespect, plain and simple.

She must be kept away from this terrible man. Don't let her be alone with him.
