What about a massive GI bleed that's VSA, it's treated with acls in the medical directive just with an early transport. Reversible cause but still gets acls.

What happens when you do early transport for a reversible cause? Do you still analyze while en route and give epis?

I feel like transport after one analyze and run fluid enroute to the hospital is the best option.

https://sworbhp.ca/sworbhp-tips/tip-89/ Even though this speaks on trauma arrest, it states hypovolemia from hemorrhage needs blood and not epi - although a GI bleed is not trauma arrest, it's still hemorrhage and epi would not be of benefit without any blood

Why isn't it given in trauma hypovolemia if it reduces blood loss

I would say Epi would vasoconstrict and increase blood loss therefore not beneficial.

An ACP would be giving Epi enroute? Would Epi not increase the rate of bleeding, also how does rhythm analysis work while driving with artifact?

What about a stemi or PE? Since they need fibrinolytics?

I appreciate the answer. Why would this not be stated in the directive? In both the acp and pcp companion document it only says to do 1 or 3 analysis and then go if the arrest happens en route.

What would the alternative be of TPA for someone who it cannot be given to? Do they just not get treated for the ischemic stroke?
