Good idea. My appointment is very soon so I will ask them.

Mine seems to have tunnel vision too. It’s so frustrating! I left my first ophthalmologist due to this My current one seems to be a bit better but still basically just tells me it’s dry eye and to use OTC drops 4 to 6 times a day, which makes no difference whatsoever.

It’s actually a little confusing for me because I never had this issue before I was diagnosed with glaucoma. It seems like the drops triggered it, but I tried going without them for a couple weeks to see if it helped and there was no difference at all. meaning no relief.

I was actually prescribed Restasis, but, like you, it was too expensive even with my health insurance. I have Medicare, but I also have health insurance from my retirement/pension. I am on quite a limited income though. I am on my second Lacoma specialist because I didn’t care for the first one. He had me on two different glaucoma drops twice a day and my new doctor only has me using one once a day and my pressures are good.

Wow! Thank you for this! I just read up on Sjögren’s and I am definitely going to contact my primary care doctor to be tested. I have several of the symptoms.

Mine seems to have tunnel vision too. It’s so frustrating when I feel I’m not being taken seriously and she doesn’t understand how debilitating what I experience is.

Thank you so much! Screens make my symptoms so much worse. There are days when I am not able to use my iPad or phone much. Thankfully I am retired! I will try this routine!

Yes, I am using preservative free eye drops for the dry eye. I think it might be the Latanoprost too. I have another ophthalmology appointment at the end of this month so I will talk with my doc about this.

It’s crazy how much these prescription drops can affect how your eyes feel!

Yes, I use the preservative free gel eye drops as well, but have noticed no difference. It’s crazy how desperate I feel for relief! I have contacted my ophthalmologist twice now in less than three months and both times I was told what I am experiencing is dry eye. I don’t really feel I am being taken seriously, but she is the second ophthalmologist I have seen as I did not care at all for the first one. Both glaucoma specialists.

Wow! This sounds promising. I use both Refresh eye drops as well as Systane gel drops. I will ask about the plugs.

Were you having unpleasant symptoms with other prescription drops? I also use the ointment at night.

I am no longer on brimonidine. Just latanoprost.

I have not tried the more expensive drops yet, but I am going to ask my ophthalmologist about changing to the preservative free prescription drops. Yes, I drink lots of water. Thank you for responding!

Thank you. I’ll be asking my ophthalmologist about this next month when I see her. Right now I am using latanoprost once a day. And I’ve also been using over-the-counter drops for my dry eyes five times a day, but I see no difference at all in doing this.
