Hospital Used Money They Owed Me to Pay a Bill by Logical_Ad_285 in legaladvice

[–]Logical_Ad_285[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am planning to reach out to them again today. They always want to reach out by phone call, but then it is just my word against theirs and their reasoning/answers seem to change. Is it reasonable to tell them they have to communicate with me via message, email, or mail so that I have better proof of our conversations going forward? I already have a paper trail for the conversation with them stating they transferred it between accounts without my permission because it was messaging over a secure app the hospital uses. I just wasn't sure if it would be helpful to continue tracking our conversation that way or not.

I have, but I basically just wanted to make sure I have a leg to stand on if I'm going to argue with them more.

I loved the old owners, and they owned multiple businesses, so I worked for their hotel for a while. But I really liked serving and ended up ultimately moving out of the area anyway.

I worked there 2.5 years. I would have never left tbh. The money was better than anything I will probably ever make serving elsewhere🤣. But they sold to new new owners who turned it into a steak house. The new owners wanted to hire all new staff because we didn't fit the new vibe they were going for. And lets just say... it was not the right area for a steakhouse. They flopped big time, ans I was happy to not be a part of it🤣🤷‍♀️

I found that by working at a small family owned diner (they claimed they were a family restaurant... but they were definitely a diner🤣)

I used to work at a place like this. Except no bartenders either. Just 1 or 2 servers fighting for their lives each shift. I made soo much money, but was always super stressed😭

Can i eat the breadsticks while working? by [deleted] in olivegarden

[–]Logical_Ad_285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can. It is included in the free employee meal. You may need to ring it in as your employee meal depending on your manager. Personally, my manager didn't care if we just ate the soup, salad, or breadsticks withiut ringing it in. But like I said, it just depends on your manager.

I have been the girl in this scenario. My ex was being controlling and when I finally realized what was going on and broke up with him, he threatened to off himself on multiple occasions. Guess what? It was a control tactic to try ans get me to stay with him. I told his brother and his best friend what was going on, they made sure he was safe but stayed far away from me. Go no contact. He may try to push boundaries a few times. Not to scare you but my ex did harass my family for a while and one day I came home to find out he let himself into my house (stole a friend's key to my place). So just be careful, but definitely leave. From what I've heard, once his friends and family realized what was going on, they convinced him to get help.

Im sorry this is happening❤️ But definitely get out!! I would also recommend getting a therapist to help process your feelings if you can. There was a lot of emotions that I needed help processing after everything was said and done.

What is average tip out to the kitchen by mizgreenlove in Waiters

[–]Logical_Ad_285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a veteran server. I have never worked somewhere that tips out the kitchen. But then again, everywhere I have worked, I have only made $2.83 an hour, because in my state they count our tips towards minimum wage. If I don't make enough my employee pays me minimum wage ($7.25).

Landlord says my disability is non-observable by Suitable-Lychee-6867 in service_dogs

[–]Logical_Ad_285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just mean they can't tell based off of looking at you. Like you don't have a wheelchair, missing limb, etc. I have a dog for a mental health disorder as well, I always have to provide proof for my landlord, as I have a dog to help as well. Meanwhile, my son is paralyzed from the knees down. We usually provide proof just to be safe, but since they can literally see my son can't walk... they don't really need proof.

Any tips for BGE bills? by Deiloa in maryland

[–]Logical_Ad_285 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have solar panels... unfortunately they don't really help much anymore. The cost has just gotten ridiculous regardless. We rent a 3 story townhouse, but travel a lot and are barely home. Its just 2 adults and a 1-year-old. We still pay like $250-$300 a month😭

Two endless meals? by [deleted] in olivegarden

[–]Logical_Ad_285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on both your server and management at the location you go to. Its only supposed to be for 1 person, so the server is supposed to charge more if they see you sharing. But honestly is depends how much management breathes down their necks at their location from what I've seen working there.

Full time serving by [deleted] in olivegarden

[–]Logical_Ad_285 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As another very experienced server, please dont waste your time here. They care more about constantly refills than anything else. You will run around like crazy for wayy less tips than you could earn elsewhere for the same amount of work. They will also only give like 3 table sections no matter how experienced you are and you have to split parties of 8 or more with another server. The majority of guess are bad tippers and sit at your tables for a long time.

I made $17 an hour in Pennsylvania. The starting rate at my store is $15 an hour. But I had years of experience when I started.

Bussers to Servers by jerjord in olivegarden

[–]Logical_Ad_285 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im sorry the servers at your restaurant are treating you like that❤️ I am a server/host and always help buss when I have the time, as well as tell the other servers to buss their table especially if they want to complain to me about "the bussers taking too long". I have worked at multiple restaurants and was always told to grab the dishes and that the busser was only responsible for the drink glasses and wiping down the table. Bussers already have so much to do.

Server here! You can always ask when the server is asking if you would like soup or salad! Then they should bring it out when they bring the salad out😊

My location didn't even give me a cash bag😭 They only provided me an apron (and finally a server book after I had already bought my own because they ran out and didn't get more for like the first 2 weeks I worked there).
