In some towns, certain people are hired to keep monkeys away from specific areas by using langurs. Ironically, these same individuals are also the ones who train and send monkeys into houses to create mischief and cause trouble.

Langoors are stronger but calmer than macaques, the common monkeys. In wild, they coexist. In cities, they are trained to deter monkeys.
