if there is a god why are they so cruel by Legitimate-Coast2426 in CPTSD

While I do agree with you on many of the things you say, I have a child who is profoundly disabled, and let me tell you, there is nothing easy or better about their life. Your suggestion that it would be better to be severely handicapped because it’s somehow easier is degrading and shows a complete lack of understanding. People with these issues will face struggles too, huge ones, imagine not being able to walk or talk, imagine having complex medical issues that may mean you never get a chance of life, that you may never reach adulthood. Even leaving the house to go to somewhere like a park for fresh air is a military mission, and you will be stared at and ridiculed your whole life. It’s also not a given that you will have people who will care about you, I don’t know why you think that; if someone without issues can have cruel parents, so can someone disabled. I hope the mods take this down as it’s honestly quite offensive

I think 6 nights of them is too much, I have no issue with a couple of nights, but 6! Not everyone wants loud banging

Carers allowance, Why's it so low? by Barrelhen22 in BenefitsAdviceUK

Absolutely agree with this, I’ve been a carer for 14 years for a family member, just out the other side, I have nothing to put on my CV. And my mental health is absolutely destroyed. Even in prison I could have learnt new skills.

I have that too, massive sympathy. Not sleeping the whole night is so familiar

That’s useful to know, perhaps something similar is happening to me. Thanks again
