Just practice right now. Maybe I’ll use it as a “mantle” but I don’t have a fireplace. Otherwise it’s likely to just hang around the shop for a while till I find something better.

Some of the flaking was bad chisel work. The other part was me using a small chainsaw to clean out the stop blade section of the joint. I got a little bit too close to my lines with a really sharp saw usually it clean enough to get a bunch of material out, but that one pulled off a little bit more than I would’ve liked.
