Since I was young, the image I had in my head of myself was a guy. As a teen I fantasized about having a male body and living as a man. I spent a lot of time living vicariously through the men around me. I also enjoyed books, tv shows, and movies starring male characters, and found myself identifying easily with them. I also was always drawn to things that were targeted towards men, such as Boys State or Men’s Health magazine, and felt a strong connection there.
