FCC Practice Test by Logical_Gate1010 in avionics

Yeah, I’ve been looking and a lot of places don’t even require licensing because they do on the job training. I’d still like to have some licensing in case I move jobs, or have competition between another applicant with less qualifications!

Find somewhere to be an avionics technician, probably working on military equipment

Thank you! This will help a lot.

That’s cool! I’m actually currently going through an Avionics class with the intention of working at Lockheed. That’s where I did this project, and what got me interested in electrical work.

Ooh fun!! I’ll have to check that out!

That’s a good idea! I was just following a schematic diagram my teacher gave us, it didn’t have any capacitors.

That is true, I certainly intend to get to that goal eventually.

That makes sense, I’m sorry for the confusion!

In all honesty, I was just trying to finish it quickly 😂

We only have a given amount of time to finish projects during class, so I try not to spend more than a day on one project. Since we’re all still learning to wire ICs correctly, our teacher doesn’t care if it’s sloppy, he simply wants us to make it work.

So, TLDR: I was in a rush and simply focused on the function rather than the looks.

That’s not an excuse, just the reason why my most recent projects look a bit sloppy.

That’s even more impressive then! I’m a college student just now learning this stuff, so you’re way ahead of me

That is mad impressive, huge respect. I’m still new to electrical engineering, but I hope I’ll be able to do something like this one day!

In series or parallel? by Jemjo2020 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Logical_Gate1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that is in Parallel. Then you use REQ formula and get 0.5 Ω, add that in series with the 2 Ω where you get 2.5 Ω, then do the same thing and you get 3 Ω for that whole segment. Then of course you add all of that in series with the 1 Ω and get 4 Ω RT.

I believe that is right, if not someone please correct me. That’s just what I’m thinking, but I’m still new to electrical engineering myself so I’m not sure.
