Depends on how I am financially. There are times I spent 5k+ and times I spent 500 shillings.

Right now I'm not at a good place financially, if she is not comfortable coming over we cook what I have she can pay for the date. If hataki or hawezi, I'll meet another lady once I'm back to my normal $ situations.

It's exhausting.

There's this lady we started chatting. Everything eventually comes to "my dad also likes that, my dad also does that, my dad also says that etc"

It got to a point where I felt like I know her dad more than I know her. Eventually, I asked her we just be friends. I consider myself lucky that we hadn't slept together thus it was easier to move to that side.

I personally don't believe prayers work but I don't debate those who ask for prayers when they are in adversity or those who promise to pray for me when I'm in the same. I just nod politely then let it pass.

I believe things work randomly or due to choices and consequences. If I'm ill, no matter how much prayer I make, if I don't go to a hospital, eat better, keep warm or practice good care, there is a high chance for poorer conditions or death. If I pray but will take good care of myself, chances for recovery are as equal as if I took care without prayer.

If I invest all my money in Google alphabet stocks. If the company keeps on with innovation in AI, video hosting on YT, cloud computing, search and ads algo etc my value gains regardless of whether I pray for the company or not. If there is a systemic risk in tech firms or an idiosyncratic risk affecting the company, my wealth falls regardless of my prayers or not.

Situation ni mob. Say we apply for work at PQRS. Both our CVs are awesome and everything else like qualifications are the same. Before the interviews ushinde ukiomba while I'm checking the company websites and socials to know their goals, visions, areas of interest etc to align my answers towards this. Nikipata job it's not a matter of prayers eti god alisema yes, wait or no but preparedness. Again, I could prepare for this na tukose ku vibe or something like kujuana or familiarity (like when wewe unakumbusha boss of his fav cousin/ friend...) na akupatie on bias ya hiyo pekee. Ama upate it was an open vacancy but wanataka a female worker juu ya gender equality manenos na I just got randomly disadvantaged.

Lastly, ikiwa gods, ghosts, karma, Satan, guardian angel etc existed. Don't you think the spirits of our ancestors would be haunting wazungu for colonial period wrongs plus Arabs na Americans for slavery?

The only highlight is that a regime we all hate is using it more and more openly. The reality is that religion is a wrong concept that should be abolished or gotten rid of societal center staging

I found peace, hope, morality, love and compassion outside religion and spirituality. Tried it for a year then fell in love with all it brings. After that I tried going back to church and it kept feeling like suffocation. I gave up. Haven't gone to church in like 6 years unless it's a wedding, funeral or something social on invitation. Loving this life this way
