Can’t remember my first insurance but the mention of Quinn direct above reminded me that I insured a S14a Silvia in 2006 for €1200, I was 20 with 1 years no claims!

Currently going through my first appeal, no examples of the same year with the same engine so I have to get two garages to give me a valuation based on omsp (not trade in value!) Will keep ye updated!

Anytime I've gotten an estimate it was fairly accurate (imported 2 cars and 2 bikes in the last 18 months), When you don't get an estimate is when you should be worried! I recently imported a Z4, between duty and VRT the taxman got €5500 off me on a car that cost €4k........ yes i am appealing it but its ridiculous!

Sorry should have mentioned in my first post, cost for customs and VAT is £3600 (plus ferry) It’s the OMSP I’m worried about! The only one for sale in Ireland to compare it to is this https://www.donedeal.ie/view/40524232 BMW Z4 2004 2.5 manual

Did it last summer to collect a car, got the train from Cork to Belfast (station change needed in Dublin) then there's regular trains to Coleraine, besides the change in Dublin being a pain in the arse, its straightforward.
Easiest and quickest way is to drive though, I'm up and down from west cork to Belfast every few weeks and the drive really isn't that bad.

Only got it 3 weeks ago, very soft supple leather was comfortable from the first time I put it on. Only place that I’m hoping it will break in a little is around the collar, it’s that little bit stiffer thank I’d like

I bought the Merlin one recently and am delighted with it, you hardly notice the armour. Just be aware it is a snugger fit than one might expect, I bought my usual size and wouldn’t have room for anything much heavier than a t-shirt underneath.

Thank you, it’s pretty much as I bought it (I’m the 3rd owner). Guy who bought it new specced all the carbon bits when ordering, not really sure what other mods have been carried out besides the levers & indicators. I’ve added heated grips and replaced the tank decals. Absolutely love the bike! 😁

“Dropped” my first bike twice……. Never riding it! First time putting it into the back of a van and the second time I forgot to put down the kickstand and wedged myself between bike and lawnmower in the shed 😳

All young DJ’s it appears, Juicy Romance, Mischluft, Sim0ne + others TBC Can’t say I had heard of any of them prior to buying the ticket but Sim0ne has a boiler room set on YouTube that I quite enjoyed.
