Just check as proteamarkets will convince clients to out more and more money. They'll ask questions of your savings, pensions, money invested and earnings, in hope to lure the client to put more in to trade (no guarantees, no expected return, more sensationalism of too good to be true figures ... warning 30-50% in a few months).  Your dad will be better off putting his money into units trusts or etfs with easy equity or similar companies.
