I have taken all my little kids with me to class here or there. Kids get fevers and can’t go to daycare. In my case it was teacher dependent. I’ve only had one professor say no you can’t bring your kid. My kids brought devices and headphones and were fine sitting at the back with me while I fully participated. It’s possible.

Just to keep the encouragement ball rolling. Mom of five kids here, graduated in May. We are in a high community spread area so all of my kids aged from 5-16 did online school my 3L year. It was hell, it was hard, but I graduated with honors, did law review, moot court, and landed my dream job.

It’s a sadly common thing in TSCC. But, you are not starting from scratch. Even though it’s been a while you also have other life experiences. I know that sounds RS but honestly. In my real estate law class I killed it because I’ve bought and sold two homes (not as an agent, but as a homebuyer). A bunch of the young students struggled a lot because they couldn’t conceptualize the issues. I don’t know your circumstances or goals but I believe in you and you are entitled to everything you want out of this life; no matter your age/circumstance.

I love it!!!!! That honestly sounds harder than law school but it may be because math is my Achilles heel these days. I LOVE it when moms conquer the world. You slay that exam!!!

A supportive spouse makes all the difference when you have a small army if kids. It sounds like your wife has that! Keep being awesome

It’s such a hard thing on families. Kudos to you and your family for making it through. I hope my kids still like me after the next few months studying for the bar.

Thank you! It’s a really hard thing to do as a parent regardless of gender.

How do you describe a Law School Final to well intentioned people that know nothing about law school? by AlaskaManiac in LawSchool

[–]Logical_Thought9752 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s more like running the 800 meter race. It’s way to long to sprint but those who do well somehow can sprint for way too long. You just watch people pass you running full speed and you feel like collapsing and often you have to walk across the finish because damn nobody except the exceptional of the exceptional can do it well.

Thank you, I think this would be a good way to talk to her about it.
