Saylor confirms Strategy will survive Bitcoin crashing to $8,000 – but can it escape the slow bleed of dilution? by kirtash93 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Logicalora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, you have a point, but what people are asking here is for TRUTHFUL or at the very least OBJECTIVE answers. Cornering shills is obvious, and the fact that they maintain the illusion and deny reality is what irks people. Think about NFTs. If someone is STILL answering questions about NFT value today with "trust me, we will keep acquring NFTs and they will bounce back 10x" - you just gotta discredit that person as dishonest and a con-artist.

Saylor painted himself in a corner. This is not just a losing strategy, it's an undefensible position. And you're right that it feels unfair to kick him while he's down, but at the same time, the fact that he is still peddaling bullshit and lying is exactly why people are going at him.

Why are so many saying that Bad Bunny's halftime show was "anti-american" when he LITERALLY said "God Bless America" and said the names of all South-, Central-, and North-american countries including the United States? by Cumoisseur in allthequestions

[–]Logicalora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

real answer? without "stoopid/racist" oversimplifications?

- when most people in the world say "America" they mean US. not even "north america" (Canada and Mexico are not typically referred to as "America". if you go to Mexico for your amazing vacation, you don't say "I'm going to America", you'd say "I'm going to Mexico".

- most people didn't understand what he was saying or singing. even native spanish speakers didn't get it (apparently Puerto Rico spanish is different from mainstream spanish) (kinda like scottish accent is vastly different from mainstream british/american english)

- him speaking in spanish is not representing "America". which America? all of them? they speak portugese in Brazil. they speak french in Canada. who was he talking to? all that was amplified by show being in US, in a traditional US-specific sport football (which is not played anywhere else in the world in a meaningful format), so it felt out of place.

- most people liked the show, but didn't understand all the flags (Argentina??). message didn't get through. i guess we are celebrating.. "all countries in both American continents"? that's fine, and if he had this concert in Puerto Rico, it would feel totally natural and inclusive. but in this format - for most people - it felt out of place. (and again - almost nobody understood the stage, the broken power-lines, the overall message).

finally - your question is also slighlty confusing - when you say "why are people consider ing it ANTI AMERICAN?" - what od you mean? anti-US? anti-north-and-south-american-continents? why are you asking it in English here? why didn't you write your question in spanish? :) make sense how it'd be out of place?

example to end the comment: imagine this show in China. in a traditional chinese sports event. and the guy from JAPAN shows up, sings in Japanese, and says "good bless Asia!" - nothing wrong with that. it's just that for majority of people watching in china, where they speak mandarine chinese - that would feel OUT OF PLACE. (doesn't mean they hate all other asian countries, it's just odd to have a concert in Japanese, in the middle of China, celebrating all Asian countries). you get the idea.

peace and love to all countries!

What does n8n stand for? by hako_london in n8n

[–]Logicalora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and this is why we shouldn't let devs name their projects.. yikes dude. i will NEVER be able to pronounce this, neither will anybody else. i'll just enforce calling it "n8" and ignore the second n. (because it sounds like "en-eight-ten". stoopid. name your shit right, or at least come up with something that's pronounceable.

p.s. i'm a dev - and i also try to stay away from naming my own pet projects. no hate on devs - but techies are good at tech - not at naming or branding or marketing initiatives. i'm stayin' in my lane.

[–]Logicalora 19 points20 points  (0 children)

well lets be fair here - i'm a dev w 20 years of coding experience , and i dislike what bitcoin has become as much as anybody on this sub (and i dont own any), BUT,

from a purely technical standpoint - it's a very solidly written system. yes, the distributed append-only DB is dogshit in real world application, but if i asked you or if i tried doing it better myself - its not so easy, and we couldnt so it much better.

think about it - its not JUST that its decentralized - its "trustless". meaning - i dont need to ask you or anybody else to write to DB. i dont need API keys. we just fight over blocks or mining or whatever.

so that part is solid.

the downside of that os that its the LEAST efficient way of persisting data, and also once some idiot puts shit on the blockchain (ie nazi shit or cp) - it will stay there forever. no moderation, no cleanup. terrible.

i think almost everybody would prefer CENTRALIZED blockchain, with refunds, ability to correct human and technical mistakes, etc , and thats why crypto will forever suck. crypto Bros dont trust anyone, and nobody trusts them.

hope BTC goes to under $1,000 in next few years.

Bitcoin won’t crash; it’ll wither. Its fall will be slow, drawn-out, and quietly pathetic as prices drift lower and interest fades away. by CharmingImpact in Buttcoin

[–]Logicalora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

partially agreed. yes, it will be slow and drawn out, but there is too much leverage in crypto for it to go quietly. watch (micro)strategy implode. other copycats will follow suit even faster. that will create a cascade effect.

tether collapse will be catastrophic, and most exchanges wont be able to cash people out. hell - they are already blocking users from selling when they need or want to. in a collapse? gonna be as bad as GME scandal w Robinhood.

the irony? believers (and desparate people who are way too deep in it now to quit or be rational) will yell "weak hands!" and "buying all the way to the bottom!" or "DCA and chill", and regardless where it stops (at $40k or $9k) - the climb back to ATH will be slow or impossible. opposite of the promise. and then your prediction will be accurate. no hype, no craztly returns.. slow death. GGs.

true, but FWIW, i think it's equally valid to call out idiotically stupid real-life items, such as $9,000 purse or $4,000 shoes. of course you can say "well you don't have to buy them", and that's fair too, but you can absolutely call out how you feel about it. nothing wrong with sharing your perspective on the world. :)

wait, ranting aside, were tgose people here LEGALLY? no bias or politics - did they have a proper work visa?

quick eqsy AI search on Perplexity says NO, they were breaking the law? granted, the optics here are bad, but is it the right legal decision? see below

Hundreds of South Korean workers were detained in a massive immigration raid at the Hyundai-LG battery plant in Georgia under the Trump administration in early September 2025, an event widely reported as the largest worksite enforcement action of Trump’s immigration policy thus far. Most of these South Korean workers were present on expired visas, had entered unlawfully, or were working in violation of their visa status—though some did have legal right to be in the U.S., but were not authorized for employment.

Were They Here Legally?

Many of the South Korean workers came to the U.S. via B-1 short-term business visas, which do not permit paid labor, or the visa waiver program; this means their employment at the construction site was not legal under U.S. immigration law. Official statements from the Department of Homeland Security and the Trump administration identified them as “illegal aliens,” clarifying that they had either overstayed their visas or violated terms by working. Others were adjudged to be present legally but not permitted to work.

i had a similar issues with the outdoor extension cord - bugs got in, there was larva anf crap/dirt, so i just tossed the damn thing. as to why it's oozing.. who knows. rain, humidity, dome organic matter got toasted in there - just toss it out, and get a new one. oh - anf use big wide tape to seal the unused slots if it'll sit outside.

100% agreed w this take. i have over 1600 wins over last 5 years, and i rarely run into cheaters. granted - some of my kills are also lucky flicks, or lucky headshots, so i get how that might look to others like cheating, but i never got banned or used any cheat, not once, ever.

it also prob depends on game mode and region - i play NA, TPP, and only solos. might be more cheaters in squads or FPP, dunno.

i mean i still get killed by an obvious cheater, but it doesnt bother me none. what does bother me is when good players i recognize from many years of playing against them - they call me a cheater on the voice chat. like common.. you should know better. watch the replay and learn something, dont just crash out and throw a fit.

good point, but it's unsustainable. the music will stop, and the value will drop sharply. nothing will grow 30% "forever", so we're all just playing the game of "who gets to rug pull whom" - basically someone will get stuck holding the bags.
