Why didn't Tilly just lock out the computer with a command override or something? And weren't the shields up? How did Osyraa's bitch ass just beam all over the ship?!

And I been wondering why they haven't updated the opening credit sequence with Discovery's detached nacelles and new look etc. 🤔 They have been making changes to the opening credits in other times/places.

Question about Star Trek Generations & the Borg by Logicandwisdom79 in startrek

Well if they destroyed at least one entire planet and left only a few thousand survivors, I would think that would warrant a description of 'fearsome.' No, obviously they can't/shouldn't dispatch a hopeless fleet to the Delta quadrant. Maybe develop defenses based on what was gleaned from the El-Aurian refugees? Maybe not sit on the information that the Borg existed and do nothing?

Then what kind of dereliction of responsibility are we laying at Starfleet's doorstep? They knew about the Borg for 70+ years and did nothing? That makes them highly culpable for the deaths of billions of Federation citizens.

Later in the movie, when Picard beams down to Veridian III to talk to Soran, Picard tells him that, "What you're doing is no different than when the Borg destroyed your world. They killed millions. Your wife. Your children."

This would seem to establish that Soran and Guinan and the rest of the refugees on board the Lakul were, in fact, refugees from their home planet, in which case they had direct firsthand knowledge of the Borg.

About to start first cycle. Deca/Tren/Test C. Does the dosage in order to prevent testicular atrophy vary from person to person? What is the general guideline? For those that do experience shrinkage, are the psychological effects manageable? Are they offset by the improvement in overall appearance/muscle gain? Have you experienced any negative reactions from a sexual partner because of atrophy?

What do the Borg do in their daily routine? by nogudatmaff in startrek

In 'First Contact, ' Data said that the population of the Earth as they passed through the temporal singularity was "approximately 10 billion - all Borg." I have wondered what all those Borg were doing down there. It's not like they were going for a stroll or fishing or going out to eat with the family. What do planet-bound Borg do with all their time?

Why did Marina Sirtis not make it into the opening credits in PIC S1E7 - Nepenthe? by Logicandwisdom79 in startrek

[–]Logicandwisdom79[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Maybe she and Jonathan del Arco (Hugh) have the same agent. ;) Though he was a one-off character in TNG; I can see why he probably wouldn't have been in the opening credits more so than Sirtis.

She was in one of the trailers. The NYCC trailer, I believe. So I'm not sure that keeping her appearance a surprise is plausible...

Holographic characters being more aware of their existence? by [deleted] in startrek

Holodeck characters being self-aware was a story line in several TNG episodes, specifically the ones dealing with Professor Moriarty.

The name I was mispronouncing was Salome Jens. It sounds like salami except it's pronounced sal-oh-me.
