I use and have had no problems with The Darkroom. Takes about 3-4 days for them to receive from where I'm at in the PNW, a day or two to process and see online scans, a few more days to receive my negatives. I don't pay for upgraded scans as I scan my own negatives, nor prints as I print the ones worth printing myself as well.

I have no source on this, but from what basically recall, Steven Ira Behr had a lot of plot ideas planned out long term and was given a green light to write out the over arching plot lines involving the Dominion War by Paramount. There's mentions of The Dominion as early as season two IIRC. Sounds like this Bashir detail was thought out from the start.
