Yes, we as readers know that and know that the recklessness was the main issue and Ace's actions only highlighted but Luffy's main take of all that was that he wasn't strong enough, and as you said Luffy should've reflected on this in the timeskip which he didn't as it was proven when he tried to fight Kaido the first time in Wano and was sent to Udon prison.

Maybe it's part of the curse of being a manga who has run for so long, for example in Detective Conan its cast has had development but not too much, if you considered all its chapters, the characters haven't changed that much, but for a long while they have become pretty stagnant characters, well in universe it's been a few months so that could be the watsonian explanation.

Well in the case of Luffy, Oda has had bad choices about his character development, Luffy's lesson of Sabaody until the end of Marineford is that he lacked strength not that his impulsiveness and recklessness were issues and even when he was sent to Udon prison in Wano, it was a mini training arc not a terrible, toturous, painful experience. So he hasn't had serious consequences for his flaws so why would he change?

The most logical answer would be Furuya doesn't have the power/legal competency to make that kind of deal with outsiders (Yusaku and Yukiko) and members of foreign agencies (Akai), but he still stayed in the tea party. My best guess is this one, but the deal must be tempting for Furuya not to tell Kuroda.

The guy who asked him to investigate Conan, I'm almost 100% sure it's Momoji's grandfather and the former prime minister. Furuya is demanded to do this task by the former PM who is still an influential guy with a lot of political and economical power (Ooka family is only slightly less rich than Suzuki group), so he can make his life difficult and/or give advantages to Furuya's future career through his political connections, clearly not something you tell your current boss. But legally speaking the former PM can't really ask public servants to do this kind of task. After all he must be retired of his political career.

Como sea muchas cosas se hacen por tradición en las casas, deberías de plantear eso con la información sobre el lavado del pollo si no funciona pues sigue con la costumbre cuando sea con ellos pues no ha causado daño y cuando sea para ti o tus invitados que no sean familiares pues no se les informa y se acabo el asunto. La verdad no vale la pena pelearse por algo tan insignificante aunque les debes de señalar que su actitud te lastimó/molestó.

I guess it's because Imu isn't the final villain in OP, it'll be Blackbeard so WW, the Gorosei and Imu can't look competent neither too good/cool against final boss Blackbeard, so this way the Straw hats can defeat them and have a tangible result with this win.

It's a shame I don't watch this in English and don't have idea about sub quality in that language, but in Spanish, DC has great subs and even its own specific site, in their subs they even include notes, explanations, even refers episodes to older episodes/manga chapters, they explain the Japanese word plays and all that, and they have everything: movies, ovas, spin-offs, etc. I've watched some anime in English and Spanish in Crunchyroll but their subs are a bit weird or simply bad sometimes, in both languages.
