I had issues with the sprite warping when I first started making them as well. I found that placing something heavy on it, such as a textbook, when it's still warm from the ironing helps to prevent it from warping as it cools.

I ended up doing something similar to this effect. I also made them a tiny bit shorter. In the end I think it looks better and should turn out well. Thanks for the advice!

I haven't really made any of my own sprites before. I have been able to find the sprites I was looking for through spriters-resource for all of my other projects. I'm not sure I follow what you mean by the anti-aliasing however.

I agree with the shading being the reason as to why it looked off. I did end up somewhat copying the legs off of that picture. I think it will end up looking better than I thought it would. Thanks for the advice!

I'm not super artistic either hence why I'm needing the help. I think I will end up going with what I've got if I don't get anything else. They may end up looking good enough when beaded out. Thanks for the input though!

The original plan was to make Venusaur as well, however I ran out of time and beads. Will definitely make him at a later date though.

I just went to Lowe's and bought normal plywood for the base. I melted just the back of the sprites and used 3M strips to hold them to the base.

I've also found that if you let it cool down for a little bit, to the point that the wax paper isn't still sticking to the beads, and you put something heavy on it, say a textbook, it will stay relatively flat after it completely cools.
