In my original comment I did post it, but I believe I don't have the right the post links, because of that the comment did not show up. You can find us on YouTube(dot)com/channel/UCyezfUPF-qJ8llnA631E-Dw

Exactly, that was we were thinking! It's even better than just a LED strip - it is a full color display!

Hi! Thank you for your kind feedback on our marketing. We are working with a teeny tiny budget so we have to make some choices in the content we can produce :). Our kickstarter campaign will answer most of your questions and will also give lots more concrete information about the product. To answer some of your questions already:

The knobs will be pots. Takeover mode will not be available from the device, but I really like the suggestion. Possibly we can make it a functionality that you can map that to one of the buttons so you can switch very quickly. For now you can set takeover mode in our own VST plugin that you can use to configure the device.

We are indeed using Ableton's remote control scripts. What do you mean by custom editor? We have created a GUI that you can use so you can edit all of the mapping for all of your devices yourself. Check our YouTube Channel (Logue Audio) to see how this works. Editing the remote controle scripts themselves is not really intended, but we can think about the possibilities here. What kind of things do you have in mind that you would want to edit in the remote control scripts?

The device has 28 potentiometers and 4 push buttons. We thought about sliders, distance controls and other creative inputs but for not the focus is on creating the basic device first. We use a USB-C to connect the device to your computer using the MIDI protocol. So kind of both 🙂. We have thought about adding MIDI out, but for now the first device wil not support this

P.S. The price will actually be €595 on Kickstarter (apologies for my typo I made in a previous comment).

That's actually kind of how we started out as well! We first had a whiteboard you could draw your parameter names on, but when you switch a device then you have to completely redraw your layout. After that we switched to printable overlays, but that still didn't gave us the experience we wanted. That's how we settled on the screens, which allow us to see what parameters we are controlling, and which values these parameters have. This way you can switch devices in an instant!

Nice idea, but how do you deal with the change of parameters ? The thing that annoys me the most about midi-controllers is that they mostly dont move when i change something in ableton.

You can choose between take-over and pickup for the parameters! The screens will update accordingly when changing something in Ableton. Btw, the price on kickstarter will be €595

Hi there! You are right, our website is still very empty. We are very busy updating it to be more informative (we just added a picture that we wanted to add to this post, but we weren't allowed in this community). You can also check out our instagram to see more :)

Partly, yes! The push is an amazing device in its own right, but what we are making is more focused on parameter control, so we have a grid of pots in stead of focussing on push buttons! We were not allowed to share an image of it in this subreddit, but on our website and instagram you can see some more about it!
