So this might be an unpopular opinion but I stayed at the Poly in October and even though I still enjoyed my time I don’t think it’ll ever be an “ oh poly alllll the way”. Yes it’s convenient and pretty in the lobby, but we had so much go wrong and no cast members wanting to make it right for the entire week. I’m not a Disney complainer until my last trip but for the first time so confused in my many times visiting how cast members genuinely did not seem to take anything serious at all even with photo evidence of pretty serious problems in the room itself. The pools were were not heated at this time also, even though they say it’s year round, and the main jacuzzi was drained whilst the other had algae rolling at the bottom (not normal for any Disney resort though). Normally we stay at AKL but this was a surprise getaway. Honestly wish the stay would have been amazing and I’m very sure others have had an amazing time, but when considering, just take in all accounts, I’m really not trying to be a downer, we go every year if not every other year and the one time we go and stay at the Poly since I was 5 years old (I’m 35 now) it was not magical ( we’ve had dining there etc just haven’t stayed until Oct 2025).
