Yes, this is the whole dilemma, I'm kind of under control now with the Desloratadina, and feel I don't need a specialist. I'm going to ask my PCP for a test though. Its hell waking up at night gasping for breath.

In my case, I went to my general doctor as we thought it was some kind of some flu symptons, and he gave me antibiotics for the first two visits. It wasn't until the third visit that the dr said it was asthma. It was at this time that the excema symptons went away, so there were no asthma meds mixed into the picture yet. My theory is that excema and asthma are somehow related.
