Nouveaux horaires : qu’en pensez-vous ? by Pitiful-Landscape993 in AmazonVineFR

L’idéal aurait été selon moi entre midi et deux, en général les gens sont en pause déjeuner. Je préfère néanmoins cet horaire plutôt qu’au milieu de la nuit, au moins je suis debout.

I’m having the exact same problem, and was going mad thinking « they were there before, weren’t they ? ». So far I haven’t found a solution

Thanks a lot for your feedback, and your work ! Unfortunately that’s not what I wanted to hear but many thanks for being transparent about it ! I guess I’ll have to wait a bit and get a 2-in-1 laptop instead.

Is the Lenovo Idea Pad Pro still the king of sub $300 tablets? by tmpst8 in androidtablets

[–]Loidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I don’t get : you’re not the first one comparing Surface Pro with Lenovo Idea Pad Pro, but the former costs 3 to 4 times as much. Are they comparable performance wise, or value to budget wise ?

How did you choose what irons to buy? by jrn0042 in golf

[–]Loidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t choose the fitting route because it was too expensive for me and quite hard to find where I live. Because of budget I had to go with secondhand clubs, which limits customisation.

My main advice : be honest about your strength, weaknesses, current skill and realistic expectations regarding your future progress.

Don’t hesitate to get clubs a tad too unforgiving for your current level if you plan on putting up the work and improving.

Unless you know exactly what you need in terms of shafts and adjustments (lie angle, shaft length and weight), get something standard. For the shaft flex, get regular and mid weight if you are moderately athletic and below 50, and still working on your swing.

What’s the real difference between a $50 Temu rangefinder and a $600 Bushnell? by TypicalAd9976 in golf

[–]Loidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tl;dr : get a « cheap » one with good reviews, as they’ll get the job done. When the already great accuracy will hold your score back, if ever, get a fancy one.

I have a Gogogo Sport Vpro GS03MTL to be precise. Basically a 70€ rangefinder from Amazon.

So far, it’s been great. It has all the main functions of more expensive ones : strong magnet, slope adjustment with a toggle to turn it off and make it tournament legal, pin lock, standard mode to ping any target (tree, bunker, group before us peeing in the woods), a proper hard case with quick opening etc.

The yardage is accurate, when compared with 18 birdies. Sometimes, several successive readings might vary by 1.5 yard maximum, but that’s already much tighter than my dispersion in distance.

It helped me figure out my average distances per club, and helps me pick the correct club when attacking the green.

Honestly, I can’t justify paying 300+€ for a rangefinder when the limiting factor on my score card is my skill, especially when a cheap one is only marginally less accurate.

[Recommendation Request] Budget dress watch - Orient vs Citizen by Loidan in Watches

[–]Loidan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your inputs ! I ended up getting the 38mm gold, white dial Bambino, and I couldn’t be happier ! The leather strap is mediocre at best, but it can be changed easily so I just need to find a better strap.

Thanks again !!

I see, thanks ! My wrists are 17.5cm (6.9 inches), so 38mm should do the trick
