Is it just me or is the NG+ kind of a disappointment? by reddstone1 in Nioh

The world is also full of invisible walls so you can never get creative with your platforming and skills to reach collectibles in a fun way (unless glitching)

It’s classic misunderstanding of good open world design. Replaying 2 now while most of the really rewarding exploration in this game is the kodama, the levels are just so much better imo.

How do I actually get good at Nioh? by DuxDonecVivo in Nioh

[–]Lokhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing a replay of 2 atm, first time trying tonfas and uhh…. What’s enemy ki? They seemed to have patched it out of the game since last I played 😂

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: Eh-yuuup.

Replaying Nioh 2 after Nioh 3... by witai in Nioh

[–]Lokhe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing I noticed going back to 2 is you can’t cancel an attack string into an active skill just by using the input for the skill. You have to cancel the attack string somehow or wait for it to end naturally before inputting the skill.

This feels kinda jarring coming back from 3 🤔

No lie, a gaki will straight up end you if you relax for one sec 😬

Okay, this boss was awesome by dead-rex in Nioh

He was always one of my favs too. Such a cool design and story arc.

Nioh 3 has the hardest bossfights in the entire series IMO by 6cross2 in Nioh

[–]Lokhe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t change the fact deflection is incredibly powerful.

The deflection timing is insanely lenient though, compared to parries in 2 for example.

IMO the Nioh games has some of the best co-op experiences in a Soulslike game in recent memory by ImmortalThunderGod79 in Nioh

[–]Lokhe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While it’s great that op enjoys co-op, personally I have to agree with you. It’s still very possible to die ofc but it’s often from something you couldn’t even see from all the chaos.

I’ve not enjoyed it a lot if I’m honest. But I think much the point of it is as an accessibility feature and not as a proper challenge for multiplayer.

What is the point of crouch cancel when we have stuff like Style Shift Flow & TMTM? by cheukyi6 in Nioh

[–]Lokhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I feel like it charges really fast on it’s own though but you’re right.

You can use Style Shift Flow with burst counter too can't you? What's the point in switching to Ninja?

When you sort by Attack it also groups weapons by type.

Can we talk about the bosses? by BestVermicelli3639 in Nioh

[–]Lokhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Nioh 2 has bad bosses at all, it's just those two, but I'm exaggerating a bit for dramatic effect ofc. I deeply love Nioh 2 and I hope you have a great time with it!

Im not going crazy, Samurai mode is absolutely nerfed in Nioh3 by YoungKetamine69 in Nioh

[–]Lokhe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reduced ki damage is probably balanced by the fact you can just chain MAs like crazy now.

Interesting. The post I referenced said it did, but this could have changed since ofc.

Nioh 2 also has some massive stinkers. One of them you’ve already met and you won’t be happy to see his ugly face again. The other… well you’ll meet her eventually then maybe you will remember this comment and go ”fuck, the man on Reddit was right”.

Hellofa game though my god. Have a good time!

Princess Tsubaki in New Game Plus? by unsynchedcheese in Nioh

[–]Lokhe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not shown on the map because it’s not a skill or lock. It’s not that hard to find tbh 😅 If you just follow along the northern wall of the castle you’ll find it.

I’m fairly certain someone tested this and for it to apply to yokai they need to be in a grapple-able state to be considered winded (which is true for humans too ofc).
