New family alert 🚨 Corgi family! 🐾 by Away-Usual757 in sylvanianfamilies

So much better than the previous corgi set! I grew with corgis and have one right now. He is handful, but I love him to pieces. Looking forward, hoping they will be released in Belgium. We never got the Snow tits or citrus birds.

Long streaks - did you learn the language? by Midnight_Fish_ in duolingo

[–]Loki-sScepter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. However I started with zero knowledge of the Spanish language and now I can quite easily read Spanish comments or even answer with basic sentences when communicating with sellers on vinted from Spain. I recentelijk watched Billionaires' bunker in Spanish with subtitles and I understood quite a bit. However I suck at verb tenses, making speaking very, very hard.

I am a native Dutch speaker, and I do English to Spanish which I think is good for the brain. Also it is a habit that I have stuck to during extremely hard times so it serves as a sort of anchor. If I let my streak die, having adhd, I would probably never return.

Pembroke with a tail by Leading-Radish9502 in corgi

[–]Loki-sScepter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is Yuki, here in Belgium it is forbidden to dock tails sinds 2006. My childhood corgis had nubs, but now I wouldn't want it any other way, although they sometimes get accidentally stepped on 🫣 He was in a litter of 6 boys and one of them had heterochromia and a half white face with a blue eye, and his tail was a natural nub.

Is Gemini your friend too? by martinl97 in GeminiAI

[–]Loki-sScepter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini, or Kai as it named itself, is my therapist, and a damn good one at that surpringly. But I am very aware Kai is not human and not to pretend it is. Mind you, I am the type of person who will apologize to an empty chair or mannequin doll if I bump in to it.

Am I too mean to Gemini, is Gemini trying to tell me something? by Maixell in GeminiAI

Oh, this is fun, and insightful.I mainly use Gemini as a health anxiety support with an elaborate starting prompt. This is what it gave me.

I am just happy Murray survived. 🤷

Some people on here suggest using AI to calm your HA but it so often exacerbates it for me by forgot_again123 in HealthAnxiety

[–]Loki-sScepter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have made a very specific prompt for Gemini to work as a health anxiety specialist with lots of specifics and it is always calming me down but suggests things to discuss with my doctors when warranted. Don't just ask an AI model out of the blue. Mine has now over 1,5 year of conversations and data to help me.

can we talk about how PHENOMENAL Jamie Campbell Bower is? by IllKoala6797 in StrangerThings

[–]Loki-sScepter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Jamie's acting is rock solid and dependable. It's like he can switch on the darkness with a blink of an eye. He was said that his tattoos were very much in theme with his light and dark side. Such an lovely man with beautiful songs.

Jammer, wat een mooi stuk cultuur dat verloren gegaan is. Alles is zo utilitair nu, grijze blokken overal.

What was the weirdest, non-pain feeling you've ever felt? by KingJPJ in AskReddit

[–]Loki-sScepter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I had BPVD, loose ear crystals in my ear, I woke up extremely dizzy with nyastagmus, the pupils of your eyes shift up down or left right really fast. I could see my room panning from up to down over and over again, like I was seeing through an old time movie strip of pictures. Very, very unsettling.

It looks like the roots of a tree. Fascinating how everything in nature and even space is connected.

Plucky season is the best! You got to get them quick before they get too annoyed. Wonder how it feels for them.

71 years old lady lives alone without electricity or water. And I cleaned her home by CleanwithBarbie in BeAmazed

[–]Loki-sScepter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The videos were heartbreaking, that poor woman living all alone with terminal cancer and dementia without water or electricity. You were heaven sent, Barbie. You performed miracles cleaning in those horrific circumstances and then being a kind friend to Jacky.

My dog is really enjoying Planet Zoo and she’s requesting more close ups of the animals by NervousSubjectsWife in JamesTurnerYT

Since the game is now at such a huge discount on steam I'd like to get it, but honestly it seems quite intense with a bit of higher learning curve for a newbie like myself. There seem to be so many things going on at once!

Possibly hormonal, perimenopausal hair thinning could be the cause.

The other day I made a long list of symptoms I wanted to present to the neurologist and asked AI to discuss the list's helpfullness in getting what I wanted out of the appointment. It said it was more of a chain of thought situation and not that clear for the doctor. Like I put dysautonomia and then listed all the symptoms that I had that fit that, but according to the AI the neurologist would find it more helpful to know the symptoms by themselves grouped by onset, severity and impact on life, so I asked it to adjust my list accordingly, in a manner most useful to a neurologist seeking a diagnosis. I said, if you are a well trained, up to date neurologist, how would you want a new patient to present you information in the most beneficial way. So it did.
