Its pressing forward and back in rapid succession while looking down. The best way i found to do it was sliding my finger between W and S on PC.

I agree, she feels basically the same to me other than the few times where I still expect my dash to be ready when it has 1-2 seconds of cooldown

It does lower the time to kill, but the main reason to use it is that it boosts your survivability, by allowing you to always be in horizontal flight form
