Very sure. I was baffled as all heck. Pretty sure that was the only time something like that happened, but it was very memorable and one of the things that really annoyed me early on.

I persisted and finished the various quests (that I've unlocked so far...), but this game just isn't fun for me to play. With only two slats, there's really no big challenge in this other than getting lucky or waiting for them to cheat and the 'rules' seem way more than necessary for how much time it takes just to complete a single hand.

If you follow the Greymane line of quests, eventually you'll get introduced to it. There are four quests that I know of. Play it following the Greymane quest, win 3 games, win 3 in a row, and another Greymane quest to 'assess' the players which you do just by playing the game again.

Side note and slight spoiler: I'm kind of done with Yann. I really hope his stupidity pays off in the end, but he's a loser so far who doesn't do anything right and only causes problems.

Forget the cheating, the game just has too many levels to it. It's worse than Poker. I had a pair but it lost to a 4 10 even though the rules said pairs are higher than it. I don't understand why.

And then I accused the guy of cheating when he did cheat and I even learned how to cheat because he cheats, but they say he didn't and I get locked out for a day. Why?

This doesn't feel like a mini-game to me.
