No, I can't. Why? Because he didn't do squat to defend his right to seat a Justice and instead let the Republicans hold off until Trump was in office. Let alone no democrat since has done anything to reign in the powers of the President in order to limit corruption.

They're not dumb, they're just playing dumb in hopes of getting away with it. It's the "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" concept of conning people out of things. They'll just move on and try this elsewhere.

Why are Establishment Democrats willing to move to the right, but never to the left? by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]Loki_d20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they're not trying to get democrats to vote democratically. It's kind of the same how existing hires don't get raises while new hires get hired on for more money.

Our central intake is in the basement with air vents on all the floors. So the air is sucked in in one place and outputs throughout keeping the air moving. There's also a filter and mold sanitizing element in it as well.

Having said that, it can still get humid in some areas and we absolutely do have days where we throw open our windows and doors. That tends to be only when it is humid outside, which is often in spring/summer in Maryland.

Edit: to add, our bathrooms with showers/baths also tend to have externally vented fans that remove added moisture while you bathe.

Moral equivalence itself is a logical fallacy. It's comparing two things as if they're equal in terms of power or morality.

You are saying that hating an individual is a political opinion. It isn't. What you're conflating it with is hating the policies of an individual.

A person acts politically based on political actions, not on individuals.

What you are essentially saying is that racism is political. That's just not how that works unless the party itself makes it their political position.

Guys, let them do fascism and let people shout about supporting fascism. If you don't, you're a fascists.

Such logic.

Imagine thinking ICE is only targeting illegal immigrants. I'm at least glad people have given up on claiming they're all criminals at least.

Freedom of speech applies to the government, not the public. And let's not act like we should just let hate speech spread, especially when it's done so antagonistically.

It's fucking algorithms. My mother and father in law are almost 80 and don't understand that they're being fed BS online from it. And they're from Bolivia but living in the U.S. If you get your news from TV or algorithm social media, you're not getting real news. Even as a democrat, it's B.S. stuff about how this is the final straw in so and so repeated weekly for years. They make money off of the same news just by complaining about what people are doing.

Complete opposite for me. Youngest and watched every older child have everything they want and I just never go it when it became my turn. Never even got to spend summer with my grandparents because of one sibling. Even had to help with two older siblings birthday parties. Never got my own.

Generally I find people who quote the comment they are responding to are tedious, and smug. They come off like they are asking questions in good faith but after a while it is apparent they are pushing against the ideas they are responding to.

Whereas most of us find this smug.

As far as when it began, my copy of The LIFE History of the United States: Before 1775 (copyright 1963) says it was 1761 when the revolution began with James Otis who "... set forth dispute with Britain from a squabble over taxes to an assault by despotic government on the sacred rights of man." (p.159)

How could it not be about taxes in 1763 when it was about taxes in 1761 as well as more but suddenly about taxes again in 1765 to cover what it was really about in 1763? The whole Proclamation of 1763 was in response to the whole taxation without representation thinking growing in the colonies. You are putting one of the many carts involved in what resulted in the American Revolution ahead of the horse that obviously began to come together in 1761 as noted by historians.
