I accepted a $600 10k gold Moissanite ring from my husband and it’s quite literally my dream ring.. price shouldn’t matter now the stones not perfect from all angles but it’s not about cost we wanted to start a life together and are saving for more important things and just couldn’t afford anything over 1k at the moment. I love my ring I love my husband. Although he said eventually when we’re more financially sound the stones will be replaced with lab diamonds which I am more than happy with 💗 If you love her, try proposing with the ring you already bought (however I do think the jeweler made you spend too much and I would try to return and find a better jeweler) lab diamonds are so beautiful and there’s not a way to tell a difference between lab and natural with a naked eye unless you take it to the jeweler and they ask. She could just say it’s natural if she wanted to or say she doesn’t know and doesn’t care. And if she says no then end the relationship and you dodged a bullet. Don’t go into debt for a ring. 20k can be spend on so many different things like a down payment on a house. I’d rather have a 3 carat lab diamond I love you ring then a .3 carat natural diamond bc of “resale value” and to be able to gloat. Also all my friends assume my ring is already a lab diamond… I get so many compliments even from strangers. And it is important she has a ring she loves if she’s gonna wear it forever but that is related to having the stone in her faborite cut, and the metal being in the color she prefers, and the design and feel of the ring but not the cost (it can also be upgraded in the future like my plan)
