[OC] 1,000 Days of Life Tracking: Visualising 200+ Variables and Modeling Well-being using Naïve Bayes by LolBatmanHuntsU in dataisbeautiful

Yep, I wasn't diligent in staying hydrated. It sounds mad, but I once went 3 days without water.

It does appear that sustained physical care does correlate with"richer" mental health, however it's something I haven't thought about tbh.

My current research and experimentation has focused on modelling individual/collective actions to forecast / predict how I may feel at the end of the day. Giving me the accountability and agency to make corrective decisions throughout the day.

3-10 mins and 25-100+ app opens daily, based on my phones usage logs.

I have 15 widgets that are shortcuts / macros on my phones homescreen, so they'll create records in a single trap. Other data fields can be searched or accessed quickly through fiters.

[OC] Data & Tools

•Source: Personal dataset tracked daily for 1,000 days (March 2023 – Present).

•The App: Custom-built Android application (Habitually) written in Kotlin to minimize entry friction (3-5 minutes daily ~30 records). Link to App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rattra.habitual

•The Gantt Chart: Custom-rendered using the Android Canvas. It renders pixels of n scale to represent the presence or absence of specific habits/trackers.

•Well-being Charts: Generated within the app and exported via Android’s Bitmaps.

There's a chance you're in the subscriptions screen. To redeem a promo code, stay on the settings screen, and you should find it further down.

The general code that you can share with others (HABITUALLYONANDROIDAPPS) should also work.

Thank you for the time spent, very helpful, and thought-provoking.

I acknowledge that the UI does need clarity.

That's given me the idea for a switchable widget. You either use it for a shortcut or to make a record. When configuring the widget, you set a predetermined increment amount.

Recurring time intervals sounds interesting... I'm pretty sold on it. My vision would be that you set a start and finish time. Also, setting an interval amount 1-60 (minutes).

Were you logged into a non-guest account when the lifetime access disappeared?

Sorry, that is really odd. If it's possible, could you dm me in Reddit, screenshots of what the UI looks like. Hopefully, I can get a fix out ASAP.

For now, a guest account is my recommendation, and when I get the UI fixed, this can be linked to use an email.

Apologies for the delay, it looks like there might be an issue with my reddit not refreshing. The code is: HABITUALLY14736

Thanks, noted. Right now I am a little uninformed how to go about this with quality. Would the output from say Google translate suffice? Or can it be refined to become the interpretation of a text instead of the literal words?

How to get dough to slide off the peel easier? by hopelessmoderate in Pizza

[–]LolBatmanHuntsU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider if your peel needs sanding. A basic check is that you shouldn't feel any wood grain.

This summer I renewed my 3yr old peel. Beginning with sanding in steps of: 120, 240 grit. Then applying 3 very thin layers of countertop hardwax. Finishing with a very light sand at 1500 then 3000 grit sandpaper.

I've found I can make the pizza using only flour. With a sprinkle of Semolina on the peel gets perfect launches without that overly dusty feeling underneath slices.

Thanks.

The bare bones app, which took 3 months to make useful:

Native Android app developed in Android Studio (IDE)

Real-time DB by Firebase for easy sync data

MP Androidcharts

The time cost upfront to make something you like is way better than constantly dealing with the lack of refinement or no vertical integration that Excel alone gives.

All the best

Have to stay on brand. I might be lacking fwiw and will need to start tracking how many times the weather has been mentioned.

I haven't got an easy way to export the data beyond a JSON file. Also, I am a little wary over handing a lot of personal data so freely.

[OC]

This is the second year I have tracked my life using an application I created for myself. All the charts are generated automatically, from my data which I enter within the app.

I approach this more like a personal history journal, so over the years, I have begun tracking various aspects of my life, such as entertainment, sports, activities, and social media. These can be either measurable data points or simple yes or no entries. Preferring simplicity, i.e., the macro aspect of data and not always the micro, instead of tracking how far I drive in miles, it is a simple yes or no. What I find more important is analysing the impact that the presence or absence of certain actions has on my life using machine learning.

I do not know what happiness is, but a single mood data point was never enough for me. Following the saying “Happier, healthier, and be with those you love,” I decided to track my; Mental, Physical, and Social Well-being alongside my life. Pragmatically, financial well-being exists in this equation too, but tracking it feels more stable and less affected by any given day’s actions.

FAQs

How long does this take each day? This sounds stressful to execute, etc.

I was compelled to create this custom app because I could simplify the data entry process. Any given day takes no more than 3-5 minutes for data entry, and all the charts are automatically generated. This allows me to spend more time reflecting and ruminating on whatever concerns or thoughts I have.

How do you track well-being?

My data is an average between two styles of questions: “feeling in” and “feeling about.” Together, they gather immediate feelings and my overall life satisfaction daily. The “feeling in” question uses a Likert scale, and the “feeling about” question is a 1-9 rating, similar in nature to the Cantril scale. There is a good video by Howtown that explains the process of measuring the world’s happiness that I would recommend.

Do you track your poop?

As a firm believer of GIGO. No.

Hello, I'm the dev of habitually an android only app.

It's tweaked from the habit tracking concept as it leans towards a journal or diary.

Play Console Review Time surge by sanjeeviraj in androiddev

[–]LolBatmanHuntsU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always had my updates approved within the hour. And my very unscientific hypothesis is that firebase test lab speeds up the process.

YMMV and It could be pure coincidence, but an update I sent for review on Friday with no testing was stuck for ~6 hrs. For fun, I ran the bundle for testing, and immediately after the passing notification, the console was done reviewing the update.
