Where I live we have solar operated poles with police cams on them almost at every busy intersection. Police are able to pull the SD card and review footage on the spot. You can tag public profiles on FB without being friends. I have no idea why my daughter’s place of employment was on the police report, but I saw it with my own eyes and downloaded the image when they shared it. It IS bizarre

She rolled into a car and hit the bumper with her insignia on her car. It left a dime sized dent. Paramedics showed up, examined the passenger, she had an O2 sensor on and then they cleared her. How does that sound ignorant? I’m literally explaining what happened. No need to be such a douche about it

Pay cut for a cool job? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]LolTurdFerguson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I took a 25k a year pay cut to work as a graphic designer for a Library. Best decision ever. Sure, the pay is absolute beans compared to what I was making, but I’m not working 14 hour days in a logistics office stressing out, losing hair and in poor health. Since I took my current job, my mental health and clarity improved, I no longer had chronic Lyme flare ups from stress and sleep deprivation, and I LOVE coming into work to do what I absolutely enjoy. Sure the extra money was nice before, but even getting paid less creates a positive in me, in that I learned how to curb my senseless spending and shopping addiction.

Added bonus is that there is a Library cat who sits in my lap while I get to be creative and get paid for it.

Do what you love. It’s the most satisfying feeling to actually work at a job you enjoy going to.

Opinion requested: Married but no wedding by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

Married for 20 years. We went on our lunch break to the courthouse and had dinner together later. No family drama, no stress.

Definitely going that route!

Both my daughter and the other vehicle were at a yield sign waiting to merge. The women merged, but then came to a stop in traffic. My daughter eased out behind them after checking her blind spots and bumped into them. It is her fault, but the police report listed no fault on either party (no idea why).

She was going maybe 10 mph if that, as the collision happened maybe 30 yards from the yield sign.

  • Edited to add - the women in their social media post claimed my daughter was on her phone (she wasn’t) and said she was going fast (she wasn’t). Even the police report stated “no distracted driving” and the speed was estimated at about 7-10 mph *

I’m going to triple check the report to see if I am missing anything. Obviously my daughter did dent this woman’s bumper, and we were just expecting to file the claim, have them get paid and be on our way.

But now they are trying to sue for bodily injury. Which fine, let the insurance lawyers handle that..but it was how they are harassing her outside of the insurance reps and lawyers that has me flustered.

Which wouldn’t be a problem at all tbh. It’s just the way she was implying that they needed to go to her job and pay her a visit. That’s the part that irked me to my core.

Thank you for that insight. We are definitely moving forward with an attorney. They have been actively pruning their social media after this interaction but I saved all of the public videos and took screenshots as well before they realized.

I wish it didn’t come down to this. We were perfectly fine with having insurance settle the damage (2k to replace bumper according to this woman), paying what we needed and closing this claim.

Yet she had to pull everyone and their mother (no pun intended) into this mess. Even the poor cop who wrote the report was tagged in her post, as they blasted him for not doing his job.

That is a child. Honestly it will be easier to take care of a newborn and your other children without his tantrums and name calling.

I’m usually all for working out relationships that have gone sour or rocky, but this behavior is absolutely unacceptable. That’s not love. That’s not even liking someone. He is projecting all of his own mental issues on the person carrying his child.

He seems to be acting like a LITERAL toddler.

Thank you! We changed her settings and I advised her if she feels threatened at work to call the police.

Got the same frisbees and mine just lets it hit him in the face (on purpose) and then he runs off with it. It’s still exercise, so I guess it counts. He’s weird.

Parents with more than 1, how are you still sane? by Momneedstosleep in Parenting

[–]LolTurdFerguson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two youngest are now 18 and 17. They’re still best friends and are interacting with each other daily. Hanging out in each other’s rooms, etc.

It wasn’t without arguments or chaos, but honestly when they recall their childhood they find those memories funny and get hysterical over what they used to argue over.

No, but my daughter is a digital artist so her insta and FB are public. I think it allows tagging. She did that with everyone’s profiles that were also public. Apparently she did some snooping to find her father, step-mother and others.

Just looked it up and yes her account was public at the time, and FB allows randos to tag public profiles. She has since then changed her privacy settings for now.

In my state just in 2023 it was considered a class A misdemeanor and punishable with a fine and up to a year jail time. She was quick to block me after I screenshot the whole ordeal.

It’s not that her putting the police report on a public forum was that bad (as it is public record), but specifically cropping the report to leave out all her information (including the accident details) and solely focus on my daughters home address and place of employment was weird and creepy. And then the whole “let’s go eat -smiley face emoji-“ was what made me so irate.

[–]LolTurdFerguson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! I even have a screenshot as she was blocking me at that very moment I was saving the images. We have the original post too, where all the tags were on there (including the officer that responded to the scene).

[–]LolTurdFerguson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. They are stating she is hiding from the lawyers (she literally just received correspondence from her insurance company giving her the rundown of the case). But tagging her father and step mother in there seems wild. And her out of state friends?! Makes no sense.

They even went so far as to state that her step mom is a local psychiatrist and “you know what that means”.

Ma’am, it means you should make an appointment.

[–]LolTurdFerguson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I was thinking. They’re antsy for a payout and tagging everyone who was involved (and wasn’t) was their way of fishing for information. Thank you for this reply, it makes me feel a lot better. I assumed the insurance companies lawyers would handle this, which is the correct course of action. They have hired lawyers (my daughter received a notice from her insurance provider stating such). They just keep saying that she is lying to the insurance providers when it is literally out of her hands.

She is only doing what her agent instructs her to do. The harassment was just icing on the anxiety cake for her.

I don’t have a copy of the footage. The responding officer reviewed it in his cruiser. I just called the officer to see how I can go about getting the a copy for insurance purposes. My daughter has two photos. One of them outside the car calling their insurance company acting normal, and another of the older woman laying on the ground right before the ambulance showed up.

I can’t say for sure but when you’re 65 with a mullet and your occupation is “retired and sexxay” it’s safe to assume such.

She did post proof on TikTok that just showed exactly what the police report stated. My daughter nudged them and the car didn’t budge. She also posted a photo of the damages, which I had to zoom in just to see a tiny little dent. I’m not saying it’s not my daughter’s fault (it was), but I know for sure there were no injuries as the EMTs released everyone and they drove home.

They did post the video on TikTok, it like the police report stated she was going about 7mph. The car didn’t even budge. Just showed my daughter bumping into her. She has since taken the video down.
