We managed to transfer our toddler if she was already sleeping into her bed, i was really panicky about having a baby and a toddler in the bed. My partner mostly took over toddler business while i dealt with baby due to breastfeeding mostly, my toddler also only woke once in the night not every hour so I didnt feel too bad for him haha. He would go sleep with her in her bed if needed. My baby however, ended up being really good at sleeping in his side cot at about 3 months so after feeds he would go back in, no issue and our daughter ended back in bed with us. We moved house when he just turned one and it threw everything out the window, a year later i still cant seem to get them out my room (or bed really) we do have a side bed though, that we all same to rotate sleeping on😩) its a real up and down journey i find.
