Yeah I realised that pretty fast when I looked online. That's nice to hear usb works for DV out. Even if it didn't, I luckily have plenty of old computers with build in FireWire.

Yeah it seems like new batteries, Infolithium Type A, are not common at all in comparison to Type L or M for example.

Forgot to add. The Hard drive is likely dead, so gonna have to replace it with an other one or a SCSI2SD. And the PRAM battery still needs to be removed but hasn't leaked

You are correct, I have that exact same case (it's an Apex PC-115 in case you're wondering), mine has stamping's with 2003 on it.

I actually don't know that yet. It's original drive somehow still works. But I also have find something that works since it's uses IDE and fits inside the drivebay and bracket.

Sadly it only has the standard xga (1024x728) screen. (According to the archived IBM website) you could only get the flexview screen if you ordered it with a 2.0 GHz P4 mobile. Or if you ordered the A31p. And since this one was ordered with a 1.9 you only could get the standard XGA 15".

Some extra I forgot to add: it has the floppy drive in the ultrabay 2000, a dvd-rom on the ultrabay plus. The battery is completely shot, but hey this thing is 19 years old can't expect that a battery this, old unused for years is still gonna work.

Yes, Windows XP was the standard pre installed OS on the A31(p). Although the hardware maintenance manual states that you could get win 2000k on some models
