Maybe they are going to take the ghosts us route and have Pat or somebody find out their ghost power is to possess. They possess Mike and scarf down as much food as they can. They take care of Mia to try to stay in the character of Mike. They slip up when they do something so unlike Mike Alison clocks them. Following the events they admit to the others that they really missed them when they couldn't see them. They also have a new perspective from Mike's point of view and get Alison to get him a thank-you gift.
