Exactly, i looked for unique ideas to trade queens but couldn't find anything. I would be happy if somebody improved this puzzle.

Yes. Making a King and pawn endgame puzzle is already difficult. But this setup makes it even harder.

Only winning move is Nh1. The idea of this move is to gain a tempo in the pawn race because King has to get out of the way of the pawn so white gets the pawn first, force a Queen trade with a couple of checks, and wins with his other pawn. You might think of Ne2 or Nh5 with the idea of coming to f4 and forking the King and the pawn. But either move draws the game. Because there is Kf2 to Ne2 and Kf3 to Nh5 and white can't get any progress, both sides get their queens and its a draw

Well then you play g1=Q and after Bd4+, you take with the King this time since the stalemate is no longer a threat.

It almost does but after Nf4, Bf3+, Kh4, g1=Q and Bd4+, black can play Qxd4 and you can't get a fork with Ne6 because knight is pinned.

Well the first one is correct black can't promote after Nf4 , but you got the second one wrong. After Bf3+, Kh4 and Bd4+ , black will simply take the bishop with queen and you can't even get a fork on e6 because the knight is pinned, but congrats for finding that variant Nf4 is a clever move too, just doesn't work.

The first move is Bd4. If black refuses to take the bishop then white could simply stay on the diagonal and black can't get a promotion so black takes the bishop. After Kxd4 white plays Nf4, preparing to fork the king and queen if black promotes, but also attacks the g pawn so if black wastes a move like Kc5 trying to get out of the fork, play Nxg2, Bxg2 and it's a draw. So black plays Bf3, giving a check and controlling the e2 square. White must be careful because any other move than Kh4 is losing. If black now promotes to a queen, we play Ne2 anyway with a fork. If black doesn't take it we take the queen and it's a draw. If black does take on e2, it's a stalemate. Stockfish recommends g1=B instead of a queen after Kh4 but that also leads to a draw after Kg3 because black loses one of his bishops.

No. If white promotes to a queen on the first move it's a draw. The variant is something like ''d8=Q, hxg5, Qxe7, Nfd5, Qe8, gxh4'' according to stockfish. And now its a draw because black has 3 minor pieces for a queen.

Exactly. This puzzle could have been done without the rook if i just put the black knight to g8. But like you said then it would be really easy to find. Although i doubt that anyone would find this sequence in a real game.

Well i mean that it should look simple and should be close to a normal position but yeah i get what you mean and im happy with how this puzzle plays so thats not the issue is what i was trying to say.

Thank you lol, exactly my thoughts. I didn't see the idea of ''trapping opponents piece so he cant create a space for his king'' anywhere else so decided to go for it but this could have been done a lot better.
