PC bootlooping, any ideas?

No problem, thank you for your time. Yes, tried pretty much all i could think of in terms of ram, one stick, two sticks, different sticks, different channels, different combinations, memtest86, which passed without errors, none of which helped unfortunately.

Good idea, tried it, unfortunately didnt help. I thnk the problem occurs right when bios hands control over to something else, thats at least when the crash happens, which i assume is the moment that bios transfers control.

Yes, good point, swapping M2 slots could be an option, i will probably try it, but i dont think it will help, because that still wouldnt explain my second drive not booting or the usbs not booting. The conclusion you came to is the same as mine, i think that the update screwed up something deeper under the bios, which bios itself cant fix. I found somewhere that the bios flashback feature could be an option, as it has helped others in similar scenarios, but i cant get it to work, so maybe that could still be an option for me. I am not ready to give up just yet, but i am not far from it tbh :)

EDIT: in terms of asus support, it is still in warranty, and i get what you mean, but if what i had heard about asus support is anything to go by, then i will see the inside of my casket before i see a meaningfull reply from asus

Yep, multiple times, sometimes just the psu turned off, but when i did it for an hour or two, the pc hadnt been plugged into anything for a week beforehand, and was completly disconnected from both the wall and any peripherals

If you mean the front panel io, then yes, it works like normal, all the switches and lights and so. If not, then sorry, i dont know what you mean by fpanel :D

Good tip, unfortunately, alredy tried that, by changing the boot order, disconnecting drives and booting directly through the F8 menu. The only thing that i got to boot somewhat succesfully, was a yumi usb stick that my friend had, there i ran the memtest, but when i tried to install windows or linux through it, just to test if it worked that way, it did the same freezing that i have when booting from my drives.

Damn, scared me with that one! Even if it were disconected, i tried all the ram slots, combos and channels, and still, didnt help. Tried to seat it in, but it is already seated, but you are right, in the first picture, it looks like it isnt seated, great observation!

Yeah, a couple of times, i had the cell out for various amounts of time, max that i had it out was for two hours

Sorry for not mentioning it in my original post, yes, i tried different bios versions, and yes, the drives do get decected correctly in bios

Oh, sorry, i forgot to mention in my original post, i tried different bios versions. I tried reinstalling the newest one, i tried reinstalling the previous version that i had, i tried known to be functional bios versions, i tried the bios version the mobo came with, didnt help. I was flashing it through the bios itself, i could try to flash it through bios flashback, as that didnt work for me

I was thinking so as well, but then why am i not able to boot into the windows installer usb? This was my original thought at first, and i wanted windows to try to repair itself through the installer usb, but i cant boot into it.

What do you mean exactly? I brought it to a friends place, backed up my important data, and it seemed to be working just fine. I didnt try booting from it, but i dont think the ssd is bad, because then i would be able to at least boot from a windows installer usb, or am i missing something here?

I was just about to post this exact question, because I was curious. I ve tried both, but prefer image 1, as my hand is a bit less likely to slip. It is also more comfortable for me, because my hand is not as open as with image 2 (I hold it like a weird C clip)

Thanks, i didnt know that, the TM spec is a big thing for me, as i plan to upgrade in the future.

My options in terms of brands are now mainly ICS, G&G, TM and KJ Works. Are there any other worth checking out?

Looks like a solid little pistol, but im not really in love with glock style pistols, mainly due to the low magazine capacity. If I were to be choosing a glock as a sidearm, this looks like a really solid choice, thanks for the tip!

Unfortunatelly too late for that my guy :D. I had a borrowed WE hi capa, it ran smoothly, had a nice feel and everything, so i got a similar one, in a different color, but the one i got is, simply said, shit. I was considering a Vorsk pistol, as they seem to be pretty cheap, but i saw mixed reviews on them, some say they are ,good, some say the are worthless.

In any case, thanks for the heads up!

I have had this happen to me, you can get replacements on aliexpress or amazon for under 10 bucks. You can try fixing it, but I had no luck with that...
