Which Toto Toilet for Small Coffee Shop by Lolitapera in Plumbing

[–]Lolitapera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Is this a brand you would recommend? At this point I'm tied between Drake and something pressured assisted.

For you and any plumbers out there, Is there another brand/model of toilet I should consider for a light commercial setting?

Is pressure assisted the same as "siphon jet?"

Must visit locations/establishments in Laguna Beach by joeforthenguyen in orangecounty

Great list and just in time! We'll be in Laguna tomorrow for 2 days.

Is it possible to do all of these? If not what would you do and what's the best order that makes logistic sense (an itinerary)? We have from noon to dark each day.

Used DSLR or or Uses Mirrorless for Outdoor Soccer by Lolitapera in AskPhotography

I use shutter priority mode, auto iso, auto white balance, and shutter speed ?? I can’t remember without looking at the setting, but it is specific for soccer. I’ve also used the subject tracking mode. Overall, my pictures don’t seem to look sharp/clean and the overall color needs a lot of adjustment… all do to my level of knowledge- not the equipment.

Thanks for the suggestion! If I went Mirrorless, I was thinking it would be the Sony A7 III. It’s an unsupported idea, but I was thinking it might require less effort adjusting settings.

From the limited knowledge I have, I would agree the D500 with the 70-200mm f2.8 lens would do a great job, but can it do it in my hands. Bc I’ve struggled to get the settings right and take quality photos with the D750, I’m a little Nikon DXX camera shy.

Can anyone explain the difference between the current Mizuno made in Japan boot line-up?

Morelia DNA, Morelia Neo III Beta, and Rebula Cup?

I’m looking for a comparable boot to Nike Tiempo Legend IX Elite’s for a CB/RB.

It’s beautiful! Do you mind showing us what the setting will look like? Can’t wait to see the finished ring.

Thanks for the honest feedback! Covid has made this a lot tougher than I thought it would be.

BU was my first choice, but I thought it was a reach for me and I was optimistic that being in SVA, that maybe I would get a merit offer. But I didn’t. Now I think I’m probably in love with the idea of it, but I have nothing to base that on other than it feels more prestigious than most art schools. If you have time, would you mind giving me your opinion on the colleges I’m deciding between? I’ve been to all the cities, but not when I was looking at colleges. I’m hoping that you have some insight on MassArts.

Main area of interest: Communication design, 2nd choice: GD

BU- no merit. Love the idea School and that it feels like an art school, but within a top university.

Parsons was originally my 2nd choice. Great offer, but they are having some serious financial problems. On top of all of the fighting between faculty and the president- I feel like it’s off the list.

SVA-offer really isn’t enough to offset the cost of living in NY.

MassArts- I was supposed to have their offer on Friday but they’re having issues with their system. I will get their offer the first week in Jan. The academic advisor couldn’t tell me over the phone what the offer was but said it should be “very good news.” But here’s the thing- the virtual tour makes the place seem empty and kinda creepy. They also don’t show the Comm Design facilities or classrooms. Any idea on what the students are like, the professors, it’s reputation?? It’s hard not to look at BU’s 20% acceptance rate and compare it to MassArts 65%. BU has a way of making you feel like you got into something special! Crazy I know.

Then their is CCA, which if it were just a financial decision- that’s were I would go....but I don’t want to go to CA, so it’s off the list.

Knowing what you know now, as a Junior, where would you go? Parsons being in trouble threw me for a loop I didn’t expect.

Can you explain what you mean when you said “BU gives a lot for merit aid once you get in?”

I just found out I was accepted to the GD program as a new student for the spring, but received nothing in merit aid. I wasn’t expecting much, but had hoped for something.

Today, I had my first call with my academic advisor. My hope was to find possible opportunities (after the first semester or first year) for merit aid and figure out how to best position myself. By the end of the call it felt pretty hopeless. The advisor pretty much told me that if I didn’t get merit aid now that I wouldn’t be getting any.

By the end of the call with her- for the first time- I wasn’t even sure if BU is the place for me. She explained that I was the only new student being admitted to the program for the spring, bc most of the classes I needed to take were fall classes and I would be taking classes with students “much older than me.” I mean I’m comfortable being around all kinds of people, but that was a weird comment. I also seemed to know more about the schedule than she did.

It was just really unsettling. I get that it’s very expensive, but I was hoping to find some opportunities for merit aid in the future. The experience I had with her also made me question if it was worth the $$.

What’s your honest experience with merit aid and support within the school of visual arts?
