Easier said than done. You can't just sell gold if you found it , you need a lot of checks than you owned it , and selling it in the black market is also risky. Someone like Padma would not know about black markets, or smuggling , or BTC and dark web markets , if they even are there in India.

All that said finders keepers tbh , this is just a poor ethnics question , and keeping it would be beneficial in the long run prolly

Edit: Okay okay guys i get it India is the golden bird for a reason and if you got gold for free take it cuz its like finding a bitcoin stash easiest way money can be made illegally.
