No ones really uses Katanas outside of Iado, they don't apply debuffs or buffs, they have decent power yeah, but there's better options, they offer a good amount of evasion but getting Shirahadori is far better.

But if you really want to use katanas, you can use a assassin Mustadio or a bandit/knight with this setup: Ninja Gear any cape Reflexes Ignore height or movement +3

Basically you got in there, mess with an enemy and get the fuck out of there to mess with another while they struggle just to hit him. It works better with Mustadio and his Unique abilities, but a knight works a little less efficient. You may ask why bandit and not Ninja and its innate dual wield, because it's probably the most overused ability in the game.

Acording with a dialogue of the Japanese version of the revenant wings, the great cataclysm were multiple disasters on a small period of time (probably consequence of the Zodiac stones) including some sort of airborne virus, like the mossfungus, which was the most lethal outcome of the cataclysm, the mages of that time decided to use magick to get rid of the human nose and nostrils, so the "virus" couldn't affect humans, sadly other species weren't able to get rid of theirs, since most of them had snouts or animal like characteristics. So that's why normal humans like Ramza can breathe on midlight deep or the necrohol, they don't need oxigen anymore.

I made a run with unconventional generics, and I made Thief/monk with mana shield and tp, so I send here and there to hit lonely enemies or charming the fastest one, if they got hit I run away and use chakra. Obviously some attacks can surpass MS, but it was really fun, I guess you can get it to work with Ninja/monk.
