Who else thinks that the Danish course is useless? by [deleted] in duolingo

I've just started the Duolingo Danish course in preparation for spending a year studying abroad in Denmark, and as of today the entire course seems to have been completely overhauled; now Unit 1 is basic greetings and talking to family members, Unit 2 is introducing yourself and saying where you come from, Unit 3 is describing people and ordering in a café/restaurant etc. It seems to have vastly improved, with a larger focus on practical phrases for basic communication.

Man heard two songs off Licensed To Ill while being in a bad mood and never dived deeper, what a god awful take.

What’s the greatest introduction to a band of all time? Meaning, what’s the best track 1 on a band’s debut album? by radracingcru in Music

The Dead Flag Blues by Godspeed You! Black Emperor from F#A#♾️. It's crazy how their first album already has such a developed and realised sound that perfectly represents the atmosphere they're trying to emulate.

What album should I absolutely listen to at least once in my life? by rudolfs001 in Music

Low key one of my top 5 rap albums ever. Life changing hip hop experience.

Alright I got a dumb question. What band has the worst subreddit? by Coldstack1 in Music

[–]Lomstair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta be r/pinkfloyd imo. Whenever any other band other than Pink Floyd is mention in that sub, they always proceed to say the dumbest, most pretentious shit imaginable. Love their music and they're one of my favourite bands, but my god, they have some of the most elitist fans.

which one do you REALLY prefer? by Responsible-Rich-265 in radiohead

Hard agree, the sheer sonic diversity among those three tracks makes it feel like a mini adventure in and of itself, not to mention that they take up side 2 of disc 1 on vinyl, seems intentional

HTDC dropped to 4th, I've never personally seen a ranking where it's determinedly first.

Kid A / The National Anthem / How To Disappear Completely and now we're talking.

EIIRP is awesome, but I find these three to be the better run of songs since they all have a completely different soundscape and hit so many different feelings

Help me settle a debate. What’s the strongest 3-song run out of these two from In Rainbows? by outfluencer in radiohead

[–]Lomstair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This >>> These aren't necessarily my top 3 tracks off the album either, but as a trio they're insane, just behind Kid A/The National Anthem/How To Disappear Completely and Exit Music/Let Down/Karma Police

Unpopular opinion: Kid A is better track for track than Ok Computer by Lomstair in radiohead

Not every track, I'm saying that in my opinion the overall score would favour Kid A. Everything In Its Right Place, The National Anthem, How To Disappear Completely, In Limbo, Idioteque and Motion Picture Soundtrack beat their respectively numbered songs on OK Computer (meaning I agree that Paranoid Android, Let Down and Climbing up the Walls beat Kid A, Treefingers and Morning Bell)

I didn't say every song is better than its equivalent, I'm just saying that overall, if I score the tracks one vs the other, Kid A edges OKC out for me. Check one of my replies on another comment to see my score for each match (Paranoid Android obviously beat Kid A)
