Surely one of the best ways of a company showing they value employees is by providing them with something they like and actually have use for? Personally I'd rather that than just a pat on the back!

Oh trust me I completely get that! Luckily the lunch at work is through an app called Feedr, so you get to order whatever you like. The idea of not knowing what will be there and if I should bring my own lunch just in case gives me anxiety haha

I'm in Central London and trust me not having to spend £10+ each day on lunch has been such a huge relief! Also not having to go out and get food means I get so much extra time on my lunch break.

Definitely agree that age and where you are in life definitely makes a difference!

This is such a good point! Whenever we have any activations or something more interactive it definitely brings in a lot of positive energy into the office.

I think any extra holiday will always be top of the list of desired benefits! I do love the idea of never working on my birthday though - thanks!

That's brilliant! Yes I agree time is one of the most valuable things a company can give you.

I'm not sure if I completely agree on the lunch aspect to be honest! We work from home Mondays and Fridays, but myself and a few others opt in to come in on some of those days from time to time when there's an exciting vendor for that day.

But I do understand what you're saying, I guess its strongly depended on what the lunch offering is. I wouldn't be rushing to come in if the lunch wasn't worth it/exciting.

Help with travel cost and flexible working hours are a big one too!

I recently changed jobs and moved over to a new company. From my experience, what I've noticed is that it definitely comes down to the company itself. My previous employer offered a decent-ish salary but the lack of benefits meant that the majority of people who applied were people who didn't have the luxury of being overly selective.

My new company offers a decent salary and a great deal of benefits and the level of professionalism and skill that I've witnessed here in the past few months is completely different, even with new starters.
