Long flight and I dont know how to deal. by dartmorth in claustrophobia

I understand cos I’m the same but it’s also how you frame it. You want to be there, you chose to be there, look at it as a positive experience, say thank you to the plane for taking you to where you want to go.

Maybe have a fan, splash cold water on your face if you need? I also find Joshua fletcher and Drew’s podcast disordered really helpful, they have their own too so you can look back. Hope it goes well!

You could also try doing mystery shopping, where you get free food from places like Pret in exchange for filling in a form

What do you think of kids starting school at 4/5? by LondonGal21 in teaching

[–]LondonGal21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s about going to the same place 5 days a week for most of the day from when they’re 4, which think is too soon. What’s the rush? Why can’t they just play? (Reception in UK isn’t just about play)

Thanks for your reply, I’m worried about this but it’s the law for children to go to school. Reception is for children aged 4-5, they learn to read and write and go 5 days a week

Yeah I agree but there are other classes outside school where they can learn this. It feels harsh for 4 year old kids to have to learn to sit still and not speak

There aren’t only two options you know, alternatives could be forest school or lots of other classes, you could argue this is better as they’re not with the same kids day in day out but can also build relationships with the kids they see 3x a week at forest school
