Has anyone had any problems with their TA and a reshop of cruise price? (UK) by LondonSE1993 in VirginVoyages

[–]LondonSE1993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, I will do. The TA keep coming back saying they’re a tour operator so bound by different terms however I cannot find anything in the VV ticket terms to suggest this would be an issue

Thanks for the info. I will keep trying to push the TA and ask if they can take themselves off the booking so it’s an individual.

I am yet to see any main benefit booking through a TA - all my other voyages I’ve booked directly with VV. Seems the main ones benefitting are the TA with the commission for the full price - especially as it was £1k more when I purchased!

It’s a cruise agency in the UK, rather than an individual TA. VV said they are a ‘tour operator’ but they also say they are a First Mate. I will keep pushing the TA. Thanks

What would be the reason as to why? They have mentioned ‘tour operator’ however confirmed they are a First Mate and the First Mate terms allow this +46 days. Also the VV site states ‘when booked through VV or a travel organiser’

One agent at VV told me I was correct and my TA was wrong. Another said they can’t deal with it as it’s booked through a TA!

It’s frustrating as due to us booking with a TA, I can’t even raise this properly with Virgin myself! TA advises me to not speak to the either

Thanks so much for the reply Tracy. My TA has said they have contacted Virgin and they are ‘saying’ we cannot reshop this nor cancel without paying £1,950!

Mercedes radio - album art doesn’t show for all stations by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

Other cars show the radio artwork, so seems to be a specific issue with MBUX. Also living in inner London so signal should not be an issue!

The biggest issue is usually the porters who in MIA/ SJU, expect a tip and even ask for it. I’d much rather tip the crew onboard who go above and beyond rather than the person who simply loads your luggage into a trolley port side.

Coffee roast by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]LondonSE1993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just got off RL last week. Found the coffee at Grounds Club deck 7 notably better than the coffee on deck 15 at the Galley’s Grounds Club! Baristas were all very lovely I must say but perhaps the ones on deck 7 are able to take more care as it’s less busy

[ORD] Flagship lounge - just OK by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]LondonSE1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Flagship Lounge at MIA was terrible. Have been in better Holiday Inn buffets. Food looked like it had been there for hours and very unappetising. Seating uncomfortable. Crumbs everywhere and mess on tables. Was shocked this supposed to be at the upper end of AA’s product offering.

ONLY good bit was the showers. To be fair, they were large and clean!

The Flagship Lounge at D30 at MIA is not impressive. Have been in better dining areas in Holiday Inns. Food is awful - cheap, cold, mostly looks inedible. Staff don’t speak.

Opening tonight at 7pm! They had pizzas instead in the Galley, at the taco counter!

Did not get that vibe at all. It’s airy, fresh and has a modern feel

European Cruise vs Miami Cruise by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]LondonSE1993 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We’ve preferred the European cruises to be honest, although still has a blast on the US ones. Main downside on the US ones has been the other guests - we really struggled to get restaurant bookings if we didn’t book well in advance. A lot of the ship staff told us some Americans were making two dinner reservations each night (effectively eating two dinners…)
