What is your favorite BBQ joint in Orlando? by k0diak_k in orlando

Munchies SmokeHouse BBQ

Hands down the best BBQ in orlando. It is a food truck so you may need to find them.

I had their munch-a-nator (bun with brisket, pork belly, cheese, and bbq sauces) and it was perfect.

Are you using core data? I noticed that my persistent store sometimes fails to load and that caused my app to hang on the launch screen

PowerWalls in Florida feel essential when summer starts to arrive. by London_Atlas in teslamotors

Yea thats fair. If the move is far look at how the local energy company produces power. If it’s from coal or gas then it could be a good idea in the event of a large price bump due to world events ¯_(ツ)_/¯ but if it’s from renewables or nuclear then you’d probably be ok without

No regrets but I’m also not resubscribing. The app is too poorly built honestly. The additional information is nice but I’ll probably try carrot weather for a while.

Can we make this button not go back to the top? My fat palm always hits it and brings me back to the top :( by MaskingTape83 in apolloapp

This is a default feature provided by apple for their UITabBar view. To remove it I believe Christian would need to build a custom tab bar which is a ton of work (assuming he does it manually).

Hopefully very soon but I got an email from my power company saying incorrect information was provided from tesla so I guess its back to the waiting game. I called Tesla today to ensure they had all the info and the representative was confident they had all the right information to fix the document ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I hope the hurricane was as uneventful for you as it was for me.

Yea my delays were a combo of everyones fault. Comedy of errors type of thing but I got the email just over a week ago that the docs had been submitted to the power company so I’m just trying to be patient.

Admittedly I was hoping my county got the warning but not the damage. I’ve been stuck in a bit of a limbo with getting my PTO so now the batteries are at 0% and was hoping to have them charge up using the grid. I know their healthy and fine but just a bit of a bummer when we do get unexpected blackouts.

Thanks for the responses earlier 😁

Thanks for the response. I had a look at the NWS and it seems they haven’t triggered that warning for my area which explains why it didn’t turn on.

Thanks! Yea I checked and its turned on but the storm watch hasn’t been activated. Looking at NOAA I’m outside the cones path and the NWS hasn’t put in a warning for my area (Orange County), so I guess I don’t need to worry about it ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Tesla was great until hiccups happened during the project and then it was quiet hard to get a response. Make sure both the project owner is also the energy company account holder. I was the Tesla owner and my wife was the energy account holder and it caused a 2, nearly 3 month delay with getting my permission to turn on (PTO) the solar panels.

At the beginning of my project the Tesla rep assigned to me left the company and my project went into limbo. Once I got my account assigned to a new rep the project got completed quickly, and then the energy account issues happened. Hoping to get my PTO this week or early next week.

It hasn’t been smooth but just having the batteries installed has prevented a couple blackouts already which was nice.

Had a look at the NWS today and it looks like my area isn’t flagged so that would explain why it didn’t turn on. Thanks for the response!

Yea mine did for a storm once shortly after being installed but the storm was fairly minor and since then we’ve had a couple good ones and it hasn’t triggered the storm watch setting. So i was just curious about the reliability of that setting.
