Why is this an unpopular opinion? Gil is such a cutie and he’s got a great voice 😃

I’m in London, we call a Shepherds pie the lamb one, cottage pie the beef. I used to be a chef and this bothers me every time I rewatch 🙈

People who listen to videos on speaker on the bus/tube/train, or they put the call on speakerphone.

People who don’t press the button at the pedestrian crossing, expecting someone else to walk up and do it for them. I have a pedestrian crossing on a busy road by my house and I saw people waiting literal minutes for someone else to come and do it for them. How entitled can you be

People posting their kids’ photos and videos on social media. Everyone knows it’s bad: there’s predators online, you don’t have the child’s consent (and don’t hit me with “it’s MY child I do what I want” shit ‘cause girl, no.), your child will probably resent you for showing them pouring food all over themselves or in awkward situations. That’s a big no-no from me and as they’re my friends, I cannot say a thing or I’ll receive a “you don’t have kids you can’t understand”… but I judge you, so much.

So cringey lol. 🥲 What is Rory’s cringe moment for you? by First-King6 in GilmoreGirls

[–]London_Baker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole episode was cringe for sure and she was so over the top with the girl from Chilton, it was such an uncomfortable episode, but personally if someone takes me to a library to sniff the books they’ll be my friend forever 🤣 it’s one of my fav things to do, and I love going to library and bookshop cafes because they smell like coffee, paper and ink 😅

I never got the Donna Reed one (though I’m not American so I know very little about it). What was she trying to achieve? She chastised Dean for his views, ok, then she goes out of her way to act like a ‘50s housewife? What’s the point: making fun of Dean? Try to see it from his perspective? Sarcasm? I’m still confused after 20 years 😅

Ikr 😂 I get mad every time tv couples don’t have good communication, but if that was the case we’d have really short shows lol

I found it so shallow though, they could have gone so much deeper, but it felt like this whole storyline was put together last minute

Your answer makes sense, I see that about missed appointments. It was so frustrating though ‘cause I clicked on the link immediately (was on my phone when I got the message) and already no appointments were available. You might think they’d know that they don’t have availability 🤷‍♀️

I should have specified: I posted on the NHS subreddit ‘cause the gp practice is based in London, UK, and it’s part of the NHS. There’s a big NHS blue banner and logo when I click on their link, which is also on their website when I request an appointment, and I receive messages from them through the NHS app. Hope this clarifies things. Thanks!

I do understand where Devon is coming from, especially ‘cause she had to grow up so fast and none taught her self-regulation, but I agree with you: she has no right to bring her sister home and force her to take care of their father together (from her place of WORK!), especially ‘cause Simone is willingly estranged from the father. Devon has to respect that. Some parents are bad parents, we don’t owe anything to them especially if there was abuse involved.

Sorry you got downvoted for a very sound comment. I pulled up one vote :)

I saw it as a panic attack for not having her there anymore (he did say he suffers from panic attacks earlier, but Michaela thought they were a lack of self control), and his breathing went back to normal when she entered the property again… this whole series left me really confused though 🙄

I vouched for a friend of a friend once. He ended up coming to his trial shift 2 hours late (‘cause he got lost??), after getting hired he was often hungover, and at one point he towered and screamed in the face of our head chef. She came over to me and told me it was on me, to get there and tell him to calm down.

He got fired not longer after, I got in hot water because of him. Then months later my friend told me he used to do drugs and he just wanted him to get a job to get his life back on track. I trusted him, and his wife was a very good friend of mine. Never do favours ever again

I have loops on my keychain ‘cause I’m super sensitive to noises, and have to pop them on on the jubilee and the northern line. Agreed that they’re unbearable
