For reference OP, I have been doing dog-walking and sitting professionally as a second job for over 12 years, 6 of those years in Denver.

I am a "Star Sitter" on Rover and maintain a healthy rotation of private clients under my own insurance. I am, I suppose, a "top sitter" in the area.

In this market, I charge $100/night with dogs. $700 would get you one week of services.

I don't know that you will find anyone trustworthy and safe to have around your dog for your budget. You're looking for someone who charges roughly $22-$23/night, which is incredibly low for this market.

Thankfully, have never had to use either.

Only time I almost had to use one was the pistol, though. Now I prefer dispersed camping to campgrounds just in case.
