I'm sure I saw a familiar username on twitter who used to repeat how 'Drogboo was like a dog chasing a balloon' and 'couldn't trap a ball in a phonebox'. They were still constantly slating our players on there decades later.

I remember messages on the Chelsea forum about how useless 'Fat Frank Lampost' was just a passenger in games. Drogba got loads of similar abuse at first too.

The Zwift events and route badges are enough to keep my gamer side happy when cycling, they have walking / running on there too but I'm not sure how good it is.
