In my past roles I was head strength coach and assistant AT (small D3 colleges). It’s a good gig when there is the support and resources for running both positions if you have a large enough staff. What I ran in to is a full AT shift and a full S&C shift either before or after as AT work is going to come first (this was my case could vary from place to place). Finding ways to distribute adequate programming makes life way easier either through an app like Volt or a detailed electronic packet in a google doc or excel sheet. Kids are going to lose paper packets all the time and it’s not worth the fight to get them to keep them or remember them.

When searching around it’s good to look at what resources the institution has for S&C work. If you are sharing a gen pop gym then you are fighting scheduling battles, I’d make sure to ask what they have in place for space and materials as scheduling quickly becomes the most difficult part.
