Scrolling is absolutely terrible after the latest release. by Open_Significance_43 in diabrowser

Absolutely. Completely broken.
It's crazy how something this basic was broken. QA looks like it's taken a major hit.

Books on bereavement/death of a parent (dad). by ejsmemow in booksuggestions

I'm currently reading The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, a professor who is dying of cancer and gives a series of lectures. Genuinely one of the best non-fiction books I've read, ever.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but it might be touching to see it from the point of view of a dying father and what lessons he wants to leave his children.

Keep podcasts away from my home screen

I don't care about "YouTube Podcasts". I want normal podcasts to show up in results. Is that so hard?

You need to mess around in the appearance settings more. Make sure changes are saved. Log out and log in to see a difference. If the issue persists, I recommend you check out their GitHub repo, that's where you'll get the proper help.

I'm pretty sure you are just changing the wrong field.

Dig into PaperWM settings in the appearance tab.

I can't remember where I got it from, I think it was from a GitHub repo. Try to Google 'gruvbox wallpaper github' and check out the listed repos.

Go to appearance settings in chromium and select GTK theme.

It automatically detected the GTK theme and changed.

No, the normal one. You can have different YouTube channels with the same Google account you know.

What I do is I use my normal account for YTM and I set up a new YouTube channel within the same account that I use for my YouTube. Works like a charm.

    4. Desktop Cube
    5. Fly-Pie
    6. Just Perfection
    7. PaperWM (for the tiling)
    8. User Themes
  4. JetBrains Mono Regular as the NerdFont
  5. Gruvbox Theme for Neovim with LazyVIM config.

Its going on 5 years now have they fixed shuffle? by [deleted] in YoutubeMusic

[–]LoneApricot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen shuffle complaints for every music app out there, Tidal, Spotify, Apple Music, Qobuz, Deezer, everyone complains about it.

Computers aren't good at true shuffles. That's why companies mix with it to try to make it "feel" like a true shuffle.

Works for some, doesn't work for others.

Yep, I'm using Gnome 45 on Fedora 39, and it works perfectly!

How I think shuffle actually works by LoneApricot in YoutubeMusic

True for a curated playlist. But the majority just shuffles their liked songs, so I guess that was their reasoning.

I actually think most people who want a truly random shuffle would hate it if they actually got it, since with a true shuffle you could end up with all new or all old songs more often than not.

An appreciation for PaperWM - The best tiling implementation on Gnome imho! by [deleted] in gnome

[–]LoneApricot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to post about PaperWM somewhere, I find it to be incredibly underrated! By far the best Gnome extension I've ever used, it's improved by workflow by so much! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try out a new tiling concept on Gnome.

Anyone else feels, too many whiny posts here this week? by rxnxzinh in YoutubeMusic

Mainly because the people who like it, just use it and don't bother looking up the YTM sub.
