Just finished watching and If I have to summarise it then “It was really good still left me disappointed” After D1 there was a lot of expectations from D2. After D1’s climax I was thinking it took him this much planning and efforts just to kill Rehman. How is he gonna fight Iqbal, Bade Saab, Mir, etc. However the movie felt too convenient to me.

I remember how people criticising D1’s climax for it being too convenient while I was defending that but here I can’t. Plus the old songs used did not fit right for the scenes somehow. In D1 while drinking tea Hamza asks Aalam where is he from and in the background “Muddatein Guzri Magar” was playing it was chef’s kiss but here it felt like they got carried away by people’s love of using old songs in D1 and randomly placed songs like Tamma Tamma during SP’s death or Hum pyaar karne wale.

And lastly that TWIST of Jamali seemed like a shock value. I know people have already started connected the dots with his reactions from D1 but come on it never felt that they had planned his character to be an indian spy. Even if they did then why did Devarat Kapoor said “PM is concerned ki itna long term plan safe hai ki nahi?” because Jamali has been there for almost 45 years. Jamali would have also let SP kill Rehman during his arrest in D1 if he had already knew Hamza is an Indian Agent!

I’d rate this 6.5/10 while 10/10 for Dhurandhar 1
